The nurses and CNA’s are kind and hardworking same as the social workers: besides the place being old and run down management is horrible! Especially Patty, she is horrible to talk to. She has a terrible attitude and when I told her attitude needs to change she told me she didn’t have any attitude! She should have apologized! Working to have my mother moved to another facility where management works with you not against you.

Bini the bookkeeper is very helpful with applying for public aid and assistance for my family member at the facility. The facility itself is due for facelift and have been recently informed they intend to remodel. Staff are very kind and work well with their patients. Ms Sandy in the front desk is always polite which is good because she is first thing you see when you enter facility. All the praise for the lady running around delivering supplies for everyone. Since the changing of a lot of supervisorial staff, it looks like things are looking up for Elmhurst.

Elmhurst Extended Care Center was a wonderful place for my family member during her stay. She was treated with genuine care, kindness, and consideration every step of the way. While the facility itself is older, they have already begun renovations on one wing, which is exciting and shows their commitment to improving the environment for current and future residents. The staff truly stand out — they consistently took their time with both residents and families, patiently explaining care plans and answering questions so we always felt informed and supported. Stephen, the Director of Nursing, is exceptionally knowledgeable and was deeply involved in my family member’s care and treatment, which gave us great peace of mind. The man in Social Services was also incredibly helpful in coordinating my loved one’s discharge home, ensuring everything was in place for a smooth transition and long-term success at home. We are very grateful for the compassion, professionalism, and dedication shown by the entire Elmhurst team, and I would highly recommend this facility to others seeking quality extended care.

I recently visited Elmhurst Extended Care, and I was impressed with how clean and well-maintained the facility is. They’ve added a new dialysis center on-site, which is a huge advantage for clients who need this service. The management team was approachable, professional, and genuinely caring. Overall, a great environment focused on patient comfort and quality care.
