I've had a very positive experience with Elm Manor. The staff are caring, friendly, and genuinely seem to want the best for the residents. Anytime I've had a question or concern, someone has taken the time to listen and help. The therapy department does a great job working with residents and helping them regain strength and independence. The nursing staff and aides work hard every day, and it's clear they care about the people they serve. One thing I've noticed is that the facility has been making a lot of improvements. There have been many updates throughout the building, including new flooring, fresh paint, updated lighting, and other renovations that have made the environment brighter and more welcoming. After reading some of the reviews online, I think it's important to remember that people are often much quicker to post complaints than they are to share positive experiences, and some criticism doesn't always tell the full story. No facility is perfect, but it's obvious that the team at Elm Manor is working hard to provide good care and continuously improve. I would feel comfortable recommending Elm Manor to anyone looking for rehabilitation or long-term care for a loved one. Thank you to the staff for everything you do.

I don’t write reviews often so when I do it is with great distaste or I am extremely pleased. In the case of this nursing home I have nothing but good to say. My family member came from another nursing home, horrible care, disrespectful staff, unfit care of my family member. I switched to Elm manor hoping for better care, I was hesitant due to what I heard about it but assumed it would be better than where I was. I was blown away immediately my loved one received exceptional care, the staff answered my questions, my concerns. My family member for the first time actually told me that they liked the home, they liked the staff, and they even like the food. I am extremely pleased and would personally recommend it to anyone who needs a nursing home.

I want to share a positive experience with this facility, especially in light of some of the changes that have taken place. It’s clear that leadership has been actively working to improve both the environment and communication. The resident floors have been fully upgraded, including new beds, furniture, and window treatments, which makes the building feel brighter, cleaner, and much more comfortable. The therapy team is dedicated and focused on helping residents regain strength and independence, and the nursing leadership has been responsive when concerns are brought forward. Staff genuinely care about resident safety and well-being and take feedback seriously. What stood out most is the facility’s willingness to listen and make improvements. Families are encouraged to communicate directly with administration, and issues are addressed rather than ignored. Overall, this is a facility that is investing in its residents, its staff, and the quality of care it provides. I would feel comfortable recommending this facility to families looking for rehabilitation and long-term care in a setting that is actively improving and committed to doing better every day

My mother arrived on a Friday. The never did any initial assessment. Saturday morning she called me to come and clean her. She had called for someone to help her use the bathroom and they made her wait so long she soiled herself and they left her in it for hours. They took her clothes to label and never brought them back. She had diarrhea for 5 days and they never treated it. We were there daily and constantly asking the social worker and director of nursing to help her. On the 5th day she was so weak we had to have her taken by ambulance to the hospital. And I went back to collect the clothes they never returned to her. They found some labeled with the wrong name and in another patients room. They found a brand new shirt I have bought her in another patient''s dirty hamper. It all had to be thrown out. And they refused to reimburse me for any of it. They falsified documents to show they were checking her vitals and giving her meds when they weren't. And I am adding a picture of the door across the hall from her room. It was covered with blood the whole time we visited there. The whole place deals of feces and urine. We were afraid she would die there.

I’m only leaving a star because it’s needed. I was at this filthy hell hole for three horrible weeks! During that time nursing staff was quitting after confiding in me that their supplies were expired. The place was dark and falling apart. They had bedbugs. I was screamed at by an aide that was finally let go the day before I left. That same aide unfortunately was there most of the time and left my roommate and I to fend for out. The food was disgusting and inedible! Thankfully my Daughter got me transferred out of there and over to Leroy Village Greens. Where they treated me immediately for a UTI .they have a 4.7 rating here. And I’m doing so well in there excellent Physical therapy program that I’ll be headed home soon!
