I wanted to take a moment to recognize two amazing nurses from Elite Home Health, Erin and Tanya. Erin has been absolutely wonderful. She is not only knowledgeable and professional, but also incredibly kind and compassionate. She consistently goes above and beyond to make her patients feel supported and cared for, and her warmth truly makes a difference during difficult days. Tanya has also been a consistent source of support and professionalism, and I really appreciate the care she provides. Both of them have made a challenging time so much easier, and I feel very grateful to have them involved in my care. They deserve recognition for the compassion and dedication they bring to their work every day. I would also like to mention the on-call nurse I spoke with over the holiday weekend. She was very helpful regarding my IV situation and was able to contact OptionCare for me, which I truly appreciated.

So I was a self-pay caregiver for a gentleman for close to a year I healed one of his amputations and then right after that he ended up with a huge blister on the side of his foot. Well, no one was coming for elite Home Health that was a nurse the whole time during his amputation while I was dressing it 2 to 3 times a day. Then this nurse comes in and finally, and because she had such an attitude I had to walk outside, I didn’t watch her poor saline solution on the blister and then apply the medicated, gauze pad and. Wrap it with an ace bandage, which is all she did and I knew that’s what she did. She said she can’t sign off on me being his caregiver. Hold up first off, I’m being paid by him not any of y’all‘s companies so you can’t sign off on me being his caregiver anyway. For two the comments that she was making, accusing him of smoking and not drinking enough water on top of me mentioning that my fiancé‘s sister is an APRN so I would know how to do all this stuff if I needed any help I could ask her she said who her sister oh fun in the rudest manner you could imagine and I have all of this recorded on video and audio if you would like she’s a blonde chick that drives a black Toyota forerunner and wears glasses. And until she’s fired, don’t comment on here and say how sorry you are or tell us how we can do better. I’m telling you how you can do better fire that you know what and get some people in there that actually care about people… and don’t be just making assumptions because their blood pressure is slightly off and there’s a bottle of water sitting right next to the person and somebody that vapes that was sitting outside vaping right before she came in. That’s where the accusation came in well one of them anyway.

Elite Home Health is the WORST home health company around. They repeatedly claimed they didn’t receive orders that five issuers claimed they sent. They said someone would be out on a day and when no one showed we were told it was scheduled for the next day. We called repeatedly to ensure we were scheduled and were basically ignored. Finally, though we are the paying customer we are treated like we are on their schedule. No other business would succeed if they treated customers the way Elite does.

The nursing service was fine. The PT and OT left much to be desired. OT was supposed to come 2 times a week. They did at first but then stopped coming after 3 weeks. PT came twice a week. Then they discharged me because I wasn't making enough progress and 'refused to cooperate.' The PT techs never said a word, but that is what they filed in their notes. THEY LIED. I had 24-7 care at the time with another company, and those caregivers helped me with my exercises EVERY day. Elite Home Health PT didn't work with my caregivers, just gave orders. 'She needs to get up every day.' (Caregiver scheduling so that the Hoyer lift could be used to get me out of bed into the wheelchair) 'She refused to sit on the side of the bed.' (Nothing to hold on to and fear of falling.) Luckily my surgeon believed me, and we went with a 2nd home health PT company.

NEGATIVE 10 STARS -Very disappointed in Elite; was told I would have nurse 2x week, Pt & OT at least once; now there are "phone calls" - they tell me they are "Short handed". Well if short-handed DONT TAKE ON ADDITIONAL CLIENTS, DONT MAKE PROMISES THAT CANT BE KEPT. In 5 weeks have see OT 3 times- had a shattered wrist that has healed well but OT did no exercises, no instructions as to how to help wrist, only talked about her trip to Alaska. PT has been some help but again, very brief visits as they are "short handed". Nurse Donna is the best of all I have seen, knows more about Ostomy care than all others. AND NOT ONCE HAS ANYONE ASKED ABOUT MY MEDS - IF I AM TAKING THEM CORRECTLY, HOW I TAKE THEM, ETC. That question should be asked every Nursing visit. 9/23/22-UPDATE: Had Nurse visit today accompanied by Case Manager Laurie who has been quite difficult to deal with from ordering supplies to actually insulting me in my own home. Am told today they will be discharging me one week early as they have taught me everything I need to know about ostomy care. Also learned from a friend that she had engaged Elite to care for her father (PT - OT) with the result that she fired them. DO NOT ENGAGE THIS SERVICE, THEY ARE SORELY LACKING IN EVERY DEPARTMENT. NOTE the owner of this company is United Health Group; its former owner, Keith G Meyers owns companies worth 243.4 million USD and made a cool $5.4 million when he sold to United Health
