Good Shepherd Community

Good Shepherd Community is an independent living community for seniors located in west Little Rock, Arkansas. Founded in 1979 by the Bishops and General Presbyter of the Arkansas Catholic, Episcopal, United Methodist, and Presbyterian Churches, it has grown from a single building with 200 apartments to a five-facility retirement community situated on 140 acres in a park-like setting.

The community offers independent living in a variety of housing options. The Moore Building contains 200 HUD-subsidized apartments with convenient parking, a gym, beauty salon, library, and meeting areas. The Rhinehart Building houses 55 apartments with scenic balcony views. The Cove provides 81 apartments with two meals per day, laundry, and weekly housekeeping service. The Cottages, built in 2012, offers 104 cottage-style units. The Roberts provides studio units with two meals per day, a dining room, gym, computer lab, and beauty salon.

Residents can choose from studio, one-bedroom, and two-bedroom apartments, with accessible units available for persons with disabilities. The campus is conveniently located near shopping, restaurants, and healthcare providers, all within an attractive and welcoming environment designed for seniors seeking independent living with various levels of service and support.
