Visited a friend there a week ago. She was sitting in hallway, shivering. I had her moved to her room and a blanket provided. Following week, when I visited, she was trying to eat lunch while sitting in a urine puddle that had run down her legs and into the floor. This, even though she was wearing a diaper- with an extra absorbent pad in it! I asked a nurse to come change her and she said she was busy and would get to after she (my friend) finished eating. NOT GOOD CARE!

If you have a loved one in this facility please check on them! They’ve had no working toilets or showers for 48 hours on the 4th floor (9/7-9/8). The hallways smell terrible. The nurses and staff are completely overwhelmed. Laundry cannot be done without water. They’ve rationed ice and water to the residents. The food is absolutely disgusting! I’ve included an actual picture of dinner. Yuk. The health department needs to be involved ASAP. Just awful.

Eastern Shore Rehabilitation and Health Center is NOT a good option and does not deserve the one-star rating (ZERO was NOT an option). 4th floor patients are treated terribly and are stripped of their dignity - even some of the staff admit it. From arrival to departure (with a VERY short notice period for those that have to find a new location for their loved one's "time is up"), it was horrible. I'm not sure how it can pass any kind of inspection to include cleanliness or treatment of patients. To be sure, I am willing to give 2,3,4, or 5 star ratings . . . and I do when earned/deserved.
