My 92 year old mom is receiving such good care at this facility. She is very comfortable here. The staff are efficient and friendly.

This facility is housed in a very well maintained older building which gives it more of home touch than an institutional feel. The staff are the best in the area. The administration immediately made me feel comfortable and confident in the care they provide. All the staff have provided my Mom with loving, compassionate, thorough rehab and now long term care. They listen to me and my Mom and adapt to her particular needs and preferences. I highly recommend that you come for a visit as you decide what’s best for your loved one.

My mother in law is 92 years old and has been here for a couple of months now. My wife and I take turns having dinner with her every night. The staff Is caring, courteous, and knowledgeable. The facility is clean and the food she is served is good and just what she needs. I usually bring some fresh fruit and ginger ale to wet her whistle. She deserves the care she is receiving that we couldn't provide for her at home. My compliments and thanks to the staff and management. Sandy Mitchell Fairhope

This review is written by Natalie Scott I was estranged from my family during the time my mother stayed here so I'm unaware of things that happened until after the fact working in nursing homes for 15 years I know how it works in these places patients are never cared for at night CNA sleep they're verbally abusive to residents who asked for medication because they don't want to get out of their chair and they're sleeping. It happens in every single nursing home is the same thing while my mother stayed here her hand was broken by a CNA the CNA did not lose her job just removed from one floor to the next. So instead of abusing one hallway she's now abusing another. Do not put your family members here. They do not help the residents if they are abused staff sticks together in these places. I'm a big whistleblower every nursing home I've ever worked in I've turned people in whether it be for physical or verbal abuse and I've seen it in all of them but they put on their best face and show when the family comes in during the day patients who wear diapers in can no longer take care of themselves sit in that all night long unless you happen to have a very good CNA on staff. And for the ones that are in wheelchairs and can't speak up they sit in an all day long unless they know family comes to visit. If you have family here I encourage you to be there every day and to do spot checks at night. But clearly that's not even enough my mother had family that visited her everyday and they still broke her hand. During a shower. All I can say is I'm so sorry Mom that I was not there for you.

They were very patient and efficient, taking very good care of my Mom as she stayed there for physical therapy after surgery. The team meeting with the staff at the end of her stay, which went over her care needs going forward, was very impressive. It was evident that they had evaluated Moms needs and my concerns thoroughly. We will be choosing FHR going forward as our extended caregivers and therapists as the need arises.
