My Father was a patient here for respite care last week. My Mother and I pulled him out after 36 hours. Live cockroaches! One jumped out of his trash can the size of a small car. The aide had changed his room before we arrived because she even saw a roach near him in the previous room. Social worker gave a lame excuse about tree cutting being the culprit. Meanwhile, the room looked unclean with beat up walls and junk old furniture. Bathroom right out of a gas station. No towels, washcloths, and nobody had attempted to even wash him up a bit. We had to help him brush his teeth and comb his hair. After MANY conversations about his diet and the fact he had intestinal trouble, they served him fried chicken and black-eyed peas! And his pill cup had a constipation medication in it that he absolutely couldn't have. Luckily that was caught in time! Most aides are sassy with an attitude. Nobody relays information, had to reexplain everything to anyone who walked in his room. Unless you plan to sit there by your loved one day and night (with roach spray in hand) and do the caregiving yourself, do not place your loved one here. My poor Dad couldn't wait to leave. They didn't even bother to give him breakfast because they heard he was leaving that day. I felt like I had the ick and needed to disinfect myself after we left. Shame on you, Arabella. Unfortunately this seems to be the trend for most of these facilities.

I wish I could give this disgusting scarey place a triple zero- 000!!! BEWARE OF THIS HORRIFIC ESTABLISHMENT! Sadly, my dear mother received the most negligent & worst care possible here! When she was admitted here, she came for simple rehab after hip replacement surgery. She didn't even have a sacral wound at all on admission! She was living at home independently & she was mobile. She developed a sacral wound under their care. They didn't turn her every 2 hrs as ordered. They also didn't bathe her for a 7 consecutive days! She begged for pain meds for a week! the nurse kept telling her she was waiting on the doctor to order them. When we had our conference with the doctor & asked him about this, he stated " I filled this order 8 days ago". My poor mother layed there in pain & was only given Tylenol! Completely unacceptable & inexcusable! They managed NOT to do wound care as ordered, causing her to become septic & die. The wound care nurse would not even allow me to come into the room while she did wound care. As a nurse myself, I felt like she didn't want me to see this horrific wound that was now down to the bone, & they allowed to happen! My advice, other than to avoid this horrific place, is to please do your due diligence prior to placing your loved one here & trusting that they'll do their job. Make sure you read up on their latest state inspection & deficiencies. Make sure you have a family member present upon admission to monitor the electronic signing of admission paperwork on their tablet! They conveniently sneak in a clause for an elderly patient with Macular degeneration with impaired vision to electronically check off & initial to agree to an "arbitration clause " meaning that no matter what happens to your loved one here & they are negligent, that your case can not go to a jury trial, only arbitration. They count on most individuals not to even know or understand what "arbitration "means. Believe me, you are on the losing side for this. Arbitrators typically side with nursing homes. By law, you are NOT required to sign or agree to this arbitration clause. Call to request that the Ombusdman be present with you during signing, rest assured, THIS IS YOUR RIGHT. I wish I would have known this ahead of time. Unfortunately, it's too late for me & my family. Hard life lesson learned. Shame on you Arabella, this place is a complete disgrace!

Let me start by saying,im not staff an am not getting compensated for my review. I came into the facility as a hospice patient on respite. I was terrified because of the reviews. But from the second I arrived at the facility I was treated with kindness an compassion. My needs were met promptly an would not hesitate to return to the facility if the need arises. I just want to thank everyone who was involved with my care.

I just spent a month here recovering from Osteomylitis. I have nothing but great things to say about this facility. The staff are excellent and met my needs every single day. The nurses were fantastic and treat the patients so well. Even the food was excellent. I'd like to thank everyone there for their kindness, professionalism, and hard work.

I can’t say enough good things about my experience at Arabella. From the moment I walked through the doors, I felt welcomed, respected, and truly cared for. The staff is not only knowledgeable and professional, but also genuinely compassionate. They took the time to understand my needs and tailored a recovery plan that worked for me. Also it was very clean and my room always smelled good!
