The conditions in this facility are unacceptable. The building has a strong odor, appears extremely outdated, and has not been renovated in decades. I understand that many residents are sick and elderly, but that should never mean they are expected to live in filth. My father is in hospice and his room is small, cluttered, and dirty. This is supposed to be a place of comfort in his final days, and the environment is not dignified. I do want to note that most of the nurses and CNAs have been kind and helpful. However, the overall cleanliness and upkeep of the facility needs immediate attention.

I wouldn’t put my worse enemy there! I saw many people screaming for help and was totally ignored! My brother was freezing for hour’s without any cover on the bed. This is a do not lift facility, he laid in bed for months! Also had a bad rash from head to toe, screaming in pain. They never called me to tell me about his condition. When he left there, he had a balance of $76.00 that they never returned! I saw many people calling for help and being ignored!

My dad spent the last few months at Allen and we can honestly say that they were the most caring people. All of the staff from reception, activities, social services, skilled Care nursing and assistance , cafeteria, laundry services, maintenance and housekeeping were so helpful. If it were possible to name every single employee, I came in contact with I would. Their care for the residents placed in their care was truly heartwarming. Their smiles as well as their interest in our entire family was something that will always mean so much to us. The only thing in full transparency that I could find that would need improvement would be the budget seemed lacking however, I was impressed with the spirit present as I walked the corridors visiting with the wonderful people there. I personally think each and everyone of you. Becky Peck

My loved one was hospitalized forb 9 days and no one notified me. I was thinking she was safe at the facility. When confronted, I was told they thought the hospital notified me. Later, the story changed to a staff member called me three times and then left a message. This is a total lie and I offered to have my phone records pulled. Later, I was informed that my aunt fell only to find out she had fallen twice that night. The staff picks and chooses what they relay. My aunt got to the point where she couldn't feed herself. The food was just left there with no assistance which resulted in her not eating or drinking. Unfortunately, my aunt passed and other than two LPNs , no one offered their condolences or reached out to me. Seems they are only interested in the money, not the welfare of the residents. I would not recommend.
