My mother was a resident in the memory care area of Ashland Place for three months, and I could not be more pleased with the care she received. The staff was always kind, compassionate, and attentive to both the residents and their families. I visited almost every day and was always made to feel welcome. During that time, I got to know many of the healthcare workers, and they consistently went above and beyond to make sure my mother was comfortable and well cared for. They were always willing to help and frequently asked if there was anything we needed. I often visited during lunchtime so I could spend time with my mother while she ate. If she was in the day room, I would sit with her and wait for her to finish her meal. This gave me the opportunity to observe the interaction between the staff and residents on a daily basis. Mealtime can be a very busy and hectic time, with staff working hard to make sure everyone receives a good meal and the assistance they need. On many occasions, I witnessed firsthand how caring, patient, and attentive the staff was. It was obvious that they genuinely cared about the residents and treated them with kindness and respect. The food was very good—cafeteria style, but well-prepared, nutritious, and balanced. It was clear that the residents' well-being was a priority. My mother had several good roommates during her stay, but her last roommate, Mrs. Green, was especially kind. She helped watch over my mother during the last days of her life, and I will always be grateful for her friendship and concern. When my mother was no longer able to communicate much, I enjoyed talking with Mrs. Green and appreciated having another caring person nearby who genuinely looked out for my mom. From the receptionist at the front desk, to the housekeeping staff, nursing assistants, nurses, and department leaders, everyone was professional, friendly, and genuinely caring. Their dedication and hard work were evident every day. I want to sincerely thank the entire staff for everything they did for my mother. The compassion, respect, and dignity they showed her throughout her stay meant more to our family than words can express. I am truly grateful for the excellent care and service they provided, and I would highly recommend this facility to anyone looking for a nursing home that treats its residents like family.

This rehab facility is a joke! I went there following my hip replacement surgery for physical therapy. I only had physical therapy 2 times (15 minutes each) during the five days I was there. They let me go without pain medication for hours several times. I had 1 shower during that time. No wash cloths or towels were left in the bathroom for me to wash myself. The staff was most always smiling and I was always so nice to them. The food and service was also a joke. Scrambled eggs every morning that were watery and bacon that tasted old. There are many more issues that I won’t name here, but I will be writing and contacting management and directors as soon as possible. I finally walked out(with walker) as I couldn’t take any more. Ashland Place is what happens when leadership actually leads. Regina, the DON, runs a tight ship. I’m convinced she has superpowers because she somehow knows everything happening in the building at all times. The staff are attentive, the care is excellent, and residents are treated with respect. Unlike some places where call lights seem to age like fine wine before being answered, Ashland Place gets things done. Great rehab, great nursing care, and a team that clearly takes pride in their work. If every nursing home operated like this, a lot more families would sleep better at night. Highly recommended

I spent several weeks at Ashland Place for physical therapy and wound care following spinal surgery. The nurses took excellent care of me. Ginger, Nikki, Laura, Mary and Stacy were very attentive to my needs. I also have to acknowledge my wound care nurse Stacy and her assistant Rasheda for their dedication to helping my wound heal. The CNA’s were caring and aware, especially Tiffany and Alexis. The physical therapy dept got me up daily walking and gaining strength. Natalie, Cynthia, Vanessa and Melissa were very supportive and encouraging. I entered A.P. on a gurney and left walking confidently with a walker. I hugged necks and have thought about them all so much since my discharge. I’d recommend A.P. to anyone needing rehabilitation. Thank you all.
