No one greeted me when I entered the lobby. If I hadn’t had to deal with the sign-in process on the kiosk, from a previous healthcare facility; I would have been locked in the building. (which is what happened at the other facility). The dialog of the staff that I overheard while waiting for my client clearly indicated that nobody wanted to accept responsibility for anything. In my experience, this clearly indicates that management does not care about the employees. The facility was clean and well lit but the atmosphere does not make me want to ever be in their care.

The staff at dinner were very accommodating when mom wouldn’t eat the supper. Thank you! I would have liked to see a medical professional wondering through. Mom is bed ridden and needs attention with changes and such. No one to answer questions.

I stopped by Douglas Manor to visit a friend. It has been updated, it looked homey. The people were super friendly and helpful. The clients seem happy and content. I didn't get a bad smell because that's what I checked for as soon as I go into one of these places. The help is very good with the clients that I could see. So whatever you're doing keep it up you're doing a good job.

My sister has been at this facility for almost 4 months and I have been very pleased with her care. Nursing stall have been kind, helpful, responsive and good communicators. When there was a problem, I was notified quickly and she was moved into a different room. Communication with the social worker has been great and overall, I’m very pleased with the care she has been given. And she is doing really well. My family and I all live out of state and I am the only one able to visit and we are so grateful for the care she has been provided.

I am extremely pleased with Douglas Manor! Everyone there is caring and compassionate. My 90 year old dad was extremely weak after having the flu and falling down. He was in and out of the hospital for two weeks. My dad is very social and was missing his friends at the assisted living facility where he lives. I went to visit him at Douglas Manor after only being there for 1 day. When I got there he was working with PT and OT riding a stationary bike. He was laughing and smiling again, something I hadn't seen him do for weeks! There was coffee and donuts in the morning and a picnic at noon. He had a good time going to both. I have seen a few rehab facilities and Douglas Manor is the best by far! It's a beautiful facility with wonderful staff! Thank you!
