Desert Peaks Assisted Living and Memory Care is located in Las Cruces, New Mexico, in the quiet North Valley framed by the Organ Mountains. The community offers assisted living and specialized memory care for residents with Alzheimer's and other forms of dementia, with 45 assisted living apartments and 10 memory care apartments thoughtfully connected to allow residents to remain in a familiar setting as their needs evolve.

Memory care provides a calm, secure environment built on trust and compassion, with a compassionate 24/7 care team including licensed nurse oversight, call system support, medication management, a specialized continence program, and validation therapy. Both levels of care emphasize personalized attention and meaningful engagement.

The community features beautiful outdoor courtyards with rose gardens and turtle ponds, an on-site salon, scheduled transportation, and free wireless internet. Daily chef-prepared meals are served with full table service in a welcoming setting, with the Compass Café offering casual dining and snacks throughout the day. Menus are designed to support individual nutritional needs, preferences, and special diets, with options refreshed every 4–6 months to feature seasonal ingredients and community favorites.

Life enrichment programs are designed to enhance wellness across social, creative, spiritual, and purposeful dimensions. The community embraces an Eden Alternative model with an elder-directed, person-centered culture of caring. Specialized programs include the Life Story program, which honors each resident's unique experiences and hobbies to create personalized care and activities, and the Tiny Stories project, which preserves residents' memories with voices, photos, and personal reflections. Circle of Friends gatherings bring residents and care team members together for meaningful conversation, creative expression, and cognitive exercises.

Everyday conveniences including housekeeping, laundry, and maintenance are included in the service.
