After nine months staying at another facility in Lewes, i moved my father to the Veterans Home. Best decision EVER! The other place left him in his bed 24 hours a day, offered no therapy and left him in soiled clothes. The Veterans Home has him in therapy, has him up and about to socialize and he is always clean and fresh. This place is amazing!

My Husband has Alzheimer and I have seviere Backproblems and of recomentation from the Doctors I put him in the Home. Now my Husband stlii dressed himself and went to the Badroom when he had to go. After 7 weeks I took him out , he had losed 40 pounds did not get shaved always soiled and they put him rightaway in Diapers. After 7 weeks he did not know to do anything for himself anymore. They had him on high Dosis of Medication and the Doctor accused me that I over medicated my Husband . How I can overmedicat my Husband when he is in the Home. I had to pay tausends of Dollars for what. Never again wirst place to put a loved one. I could wright a Book about it. Nobody cares and nobody deserves to look like my Husband after I took him home.

Today while visiting a resident I witnessed the kindness of one of the aides. She shaved the resident and was so kind and caring and she did an excellent job hats off to Vernessa. She really knows how to take care of patients with dementia.
