I was recently a resident of deer meadows I'm only 55 but needed there services I had the privilege of meetings so many amazing souls from the hard working staff to the welcoming resident community witch I won't forget any time soon I could tell good changes were happening around there the residents that attend the many different social functions through out the day really expressed to me just how much they enjoy this time so Mrs wade just know that you are loved and missed it is a non smoking facility witch I didn't know In advance but survived the food was very accommodating I miss you all hope you all are doing well maybe God will find make a way for me to relocate in the area someday soon... I can pray for assistance

Since the new dietary manager and administrator came on board, I’ve noticed such a big improvement in the food and overall meal service. The dietary team is really stepping up, and it shows!It’s clear that positive changes are happening, and it makes a real difference.

I recently lost a dear friend at this place called a rehab facility. That is a total joke. This is the worst possible place for someone to be placed. Virginia Medicaid needs to do some internal checks on the care and what they are billing patients for and not receiving. If you truly want your loved one to come out alive don't send them there. They even rate lower than the Guggenheimer in Lynchburg. Rehab never happens and I'm sure records are faked because the same story is never told the same way twice. Clean house and find either new qualified owners or personnel that truly qualify in healthcare with knowledge and passion to care. Please beware. There are possibly 2 employees involved in my friends care that truly cared. 2 is not enough. 💔

Something needs to be done with this place. You walk in to the building and immediately are hit with the most awful smell of pee and awful oxygen quality. I don't know how someone can expect to rehab here when it takes hours to get someone to come and check on you. My mother had respiratory failure and was sent here for rehab and immediately had to have an ambulance called for her. I talked to a young gentleman with reddish blonde hair and he was fantastic but there is too much just standing around while they have patients roaming around screaming for help. This place needs to be checked and more than likely shut down. DO NOT BRING YOUR FAMILY HERE

Deer Meadows Rehabilitation and Nursing has been a wonderful place for my grandmother. The staff is incredibly caring and attentive, and the facility is always clean and well-maintained. It feels like a home away from home for her.
