Abingdon Health & Rehab Center is an inpatient rehabilitation facility located in Abingdon, Virginia. The center provides skilled nursing and rehabilitation services in a compassionate environment designed to feel like home, combining individualized care with modern technical innovations to meet each patient's unique needs.

The facility offers inpatient rehabilitation services with an average length of stay of approximately 28 days, though stays are individualized based on patient progress and needs. Private and semi-private rooms are available, with efforts made to accommodate private room requests when beds are open. Each patient receives an individual plan of care developed by the facility's team of physicians, a medical director, and contracted specialists such as podiatrists.

Rehabilitation services include physical therapy for strength, endurance, and motor function; occupational therapy to help with daily living activities such as dressing and bathing; and speech therapy addressing swallowing and speaking. Therapy is provided 5 to 7 days per week and is tailored to each patient's ability to function. The facility currently does not offer outpatient services.

Medicare Part A covers skilled services, with full coverage for the first 20 days of stay when daily skilled services are needed and provided. Many insurance policies cover inpatient rehabilitation services, and the facility participates with various insurance networks. Families are encouraged to visit at any time convenient to the patient and are welcome to observe and participate in the rehabilitation process.
