They qualified to affectively meet the needs of mental health patients , some have suffered abuse from some staff as well as clients , they act like they care and talk a seemingly smooth game on family but nobody is fooled by the act ..with all I know I would never recommend Decatur manor to anyone

It started off fine. The pictures on the website are staff and not actual patients. The buffet they show is false. Lousy food and run out of food. If you like sandwiches with one piece of meat and cheese then it’s the place for you. The rooms don’t look like that. You share a bathroom with three other people. The shared bathroom only has a bathtub to bathe in. Only one shower room for everyone and it’s moldy and people poop in the shower. Staff is always changing because they can’t keep employees due to no communication and some are on a power trip. There are only a few original staff members that actually do their job and actually care. The others like to show off their so called power by yelling at patients not checking on patients enough. The beds are a joke. You have springs digging into your body as you try to rest. Some people need rest but you hear staff over the intercom, other patients walking in and out of your room and when staff does show up they get bossy. They allow patients go days and sometimes weeks with no showers, dirty clothes and some have poop on them. The so called classes are only a staff member reading from a sheet of paper. No real counseling at all. If you don’t lock up your belongings they will be stolen. So many drugs and alcohol have been coming in still. There is no way that someone could actually recover with that still going on.

Decatur Manor has been really great! Staff are attentive to needs, and it is a calm environment (for the most part) to live in. Food is decent, and there are activity outings to go on that are fun! ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Staff don't do anything to help. Staff verbally harass residents. nurse's don't help residents fast enough and some nurses on multiple occasions have refused medical help for residents and medications. Staff have repeatedly harassed me and other residents. Social services have repeatedly threatened to kick me and my boyfriend out over little things. My records say I have social anxiety but staff and social services repeatedly force me to do group's knowing I have anxiety and PTSD. Staff refused to help me repeatedly. If you see this don't come here I don't recommend this place to no one
