Our mom will be celebrating her one-year anniversary soon in her new home at Deane Hill Place. She has always been very independent and self-sufficient. Needless to say the transition to Independent Living, in a continuing care community, was disruptive. She cannot be more happy that we (as a family team) made this decision. Our mom is more engaged and active than she has been in a long time. She is enjoying her new friends and all the activities DHP offers. My mom is a 'foodie' and really likes the meals served up as well. We couldn't be more happy that she's happier and feels safer in her new home. The only bug a boo is the transportation van only runs on Tuesday and Thursday for appointments - limited availability. Thanks DHP team. Your efforts are appreciated.

Sister recently moved there. 1). Supply your own TP, 2) supply paper towels 3) No one to wash your loved one after they. “Mess” themselves, 4) Quality of food lacking 5) Change your loved ones’ soiled sheets and clean their “accidents “ on the floor, etc.

This place is worse than an abandoned animal shelter. Not only SEVERLEY understaffed to point of ppl getting hot food after its went cold, but no internet, A/C has been broken for awhile and to make matters worse, a SEVERE fire violation!!!😡😡THE ELEVATOR DOESN'T WORK. Ya, the ppl on upper floors can't even leave those floors unless they use the stairs, and many can not! How are they getting ppl out if there is an emergency? Calls will be made Monday. My cousin is a fire Marshall in a neighboring town..ppl, dont bring a dog here, better yet a human you love.

Avoid. Very dishonest practices, classic "bait and switch". Apartments are highlighted as a "special deal" and initial care needs will be assessed lower than the are, so initial costs seem low, but will be increased at the 30 day assessment. We realized this after the Head Nurse performed a subpar assessment at our home where she didn't even know our mom's name, didn't wake her up during the evaluation to have her demonstrate skills (ADLS), and did not perform a SLUMS evaluation for dementia, which thankfully we had performed the same week by another center. Dean Hill told us that she would need the lowest level of care, but we know she needs much more care than the low rating she was given. We already had reservations about the significant lack of upkeep to the outside common areas and severe structural damage to outside decks that they are roped off. Residents we spoke to are unhappy. We requested our refundable deposit back and it has now been a month without it being returned. It is very difficult to reach anyone at the Dean Hill office or their corporate office with Terra Bella. We highly recommend Arbor Terrace instead. Night and day difference in their facilities and quality of care.

Fred, the new Activity Director at Deane Hill Place Senior Living is doing a fantastic job getting the residents together for activities! BINGO, Bluegrass music, walking, birthday celebrations, etc. And the rest of the staff is like family too - I feel safe and if I have a problem, the staff finds a way to accommodate me!!
