Horrible place! Won’t exercise someone That can be rehabbed! Food is cold and a lot of times uneatible ! She asked for a Coke and was told they’re out. Moves from bed to chair and don’t come back and check on. I’ve been on the phone with my friend and heard people getting smart with her. Do better by your patients especially the ones that can talk !

Aldersgate is a very resident friendly place. Residents interact socially, work on committees to benefit Aldersgate, help each other, and are great friends. No matter what your interest are, there are probably others who have similar interest.<br>I'm an eight year resident who is enjoying life to the fullest and plan to stay to the end of my life.<br>Check us out. you won't be disappointed!!!!

Update: My husband and I have now been here for nearly 6 years. We continue to be extremely happy with our choice to move to Aldersgate: interesting and friendly residents/neighbors, beautiful wooded surroundings, excellent and caring staff. The decision to move to a CCRC (or any move for that matter) is a major one. But there's a casual and accepting vibe here that smooths the way for newcomers to participate as much or as little as they choose in this community's life.<br><br>Original Review: My husband and I toured 6 different communities before moving to Aldersgate and into a spacious cottage, backed by woods, nearly 4 years ago. Aldersgate has plenty of amenities: a robust schedule of movies, concerts, lectures, and off campus outings; a fitness center with multiple class offerings, a wood shop, an indoor pool, garden plots for residents interested in gardening, multiple dining venues…the list could go on. But this list applies to many retirement communities. Three things, however, sold us on Aldersgate…the natural and expansive campus beauty (still located in the city), the proximity to Uptown Charlotte, and – most of all – the community feel of Aldersgate. We did not want to live in a land-based “cruise ship.” We wanted unpretentious living, with caring staff. We wanted interesting and friendly neighbors, involved in community activities and not just attending “events.” We’ve gotten that at Aldersgate. Would we choose Aldersgate again? Absolutely.
