Cottages on Golden Pond the

Cottages on Golden Pond is an assisted living community in Shawano, Wisconsin that combines independent apartment living with 24-hour supportive and personal care. Residents have their own private apartments that include a private bath and kitchen facilities, with services tailored to individual needs and adjusted as care requirements change.

The community provides up to 28 hours per week of services and may extend those hours for a 90-day period during acute illness or injury. Staff members are trained to provide care with courtesy and respect, with a philosophy of maximizing residents' free time so they can experience activities that bring them pleasure and stay active in the community.

Amenities and activities include cards, arts and crafts, book reviews, menu planning, and gardening. The community is designed as a home-like environment, and residents are welcome to use the grounds to entertain family and friends. Garage parking and beauty and barber shop services are available at an additional cost.

Cottages on Golden Pond also operates a dedicated Memory Care program for individuals with dementia, including Alzheimer's Disease. Staff members are professionally trained in dementia care approaches for all types and stages of the disease, providing frequent reminders, redirection, and calm reassurance in a safe and supportive environment. A diagnosis of dementia is not a prerequisite for admission to Memory Care.
