Cottages at Meadowlands (the)

The Cottages at Meadowlands is an assisted living community in Oconto Falls, Wisconsin, offering independent apartment living combined with 24-hour supportive and personal care. Residents have their own private apartments equipped with a bath and kitchen facilities, with services tailored to individual needs and adjusted as care requirements change.

The community provides up to 28 hours per week of care services, with the ability to extend those hours for up to 90 days during periods of acute illness or injury. The Cottages emphasizes maintaining resident independence and offers a healthy, active lifestyle within a home-like environment.

Amenities and activities include cards, arts and crafts, book reviews, menu planning, and gardening. The grounds are available for residents to entertain family and friends. Additional services such as garage parking and beauty or barber shop services are available for an additional cost. Professional staff members are trained to provide courteous and respectful care.

The Cottages also operates a Memory Care program dedicated to serving residents with dementia, including Alzheimer's disease. Staff members receive specialized training in dementia care approaches appropriate for all types and stages of the condition. Memory Care residents receive frequent reminders, redirection, and calm reassurance in a safe and secure environment. Family members receive support and guidance on communication and quality time with their loved ones.

A diagnosis of dementia is not required for admission to the Memory Care program. The community works with families during the admission process to ensure a smooth transition for residents.
