There are not enough low stars to check! This is a horrible nursing home. My husband spent a month there and he came home with a pressure sore. For the next 7 months he spent in a hospital and had surgery on it. Now he will be in bed for 18 mos so that it heals inside the wound. They never even said anything or sent home with any instructions or that there was a problem. Do not send your loved one there. I cannot post a video or photo because it is on his butt!

The new Unity hospice Sunset wing is really beautiful and a very peaceful setting. Staff at Meadowbrook are friendly and professional. Great they are VA contracted! Great kitchen staff and activities! Definitely would recommend.

I am very saddened about the care that my loved one received while at this nursing home, working in healthcare I realize how it is caring for people but something should be done when you visit your family member and find a meal tray left untouched in the afternoon and I’m sure it was marked as “refused” and no attempt at feeding the resident, that’s just one example of the inadequate care received, the nursing home shouldn’t be allowed to say a resident is refusing especially when told by the family the resident needs feeding assistance. My loved one also lost a considerable amount of weight while living there, went to nursing home for rehab initially and this nursing home gets away with not doing therapy by saying the resident refuses again, please consider this when placing a loved one in a nursing home especially if due to difficult circumstances, unable to check on loved one often to make sure care is getting done.Facility is old and never been in a nursing home where the temperature was cool. Food served was very unappealing and don’t follow families recommendations about residents likes and dislikes at all. I’m truly not one that complains and am empathetic to healthcare workers but when I see inappropriate and inadequate care given to my loved one, it’s so upsetting.

My step-father just came home after spending 30 days here. He was only given 1 shower. He was given poor care as he came home with a very serious pressure sore that will now require hospitalization. He was put in a shared room where the roommate wouldn’t even allow him to use the remote. He literally laid in bed 24/7 staring at the ceiling which has had a tremendous negative impact on his mental health. Terrible care that I would not wish upon anyone.

I want to express my deepest gratitude to the entire team at Meadowbrook for the exceptional care they provided to my dad during his time on hospice. From the moment he arrived, every nurse, aide, and staff member went above and beyond to make sure he was comfortable, cared for, and never in pain.<br><br>End-of-life care is never easy, but the compassion and professionalism shown by Meadowbrook made an incredibly difficult time feel just a little more bearable. They treated my dad with such dignity and kindness, and it was clear that he was not just a patient to them, but a person whose comfort and peace truly mattered.<br><br>What stood out most was how they extended that same care to our entire family. They were there not only for my dad but for all of us; offering support, answering questions, and giving us space when we needed it, and comfort when we didn’t know we needed it.<br><br>Meadowbrook is more than just a facility. It's a place filled with heart. I will always be thankful for the incredible care they gave my dad in his final days, and for the way they stood beside us during a time of grief and transition. It meant more than words can say.
