Cottage Grove Place is a wonderful community. The staff is always friendly, polite, and helpful. The housing is clean and kept up to date with wonderful options to help you feel at home. The food is excellent with lots of different options and the having their grill plus dining room is so convenient. The activities and fun events make for a welcoming environment to meet new people. After a very difficult experience with another memory care facility, my family found ourselves needing to move my mom into a new community on fairly short notice. We were overwhelmed, exhausted, and worried about finding the right place for her. From the moment we contacted Cottage Grove Place, the staff treated us with kindness, compassion, and professionalism. They understood the urgency of our situation and went above and beyond to help facilitate a smooth and timely transition for my mom. Their willingness to work with us every step of the way made an incredibly stressful situation so much more manageable. What has impressed us most is the attentiveness of the caregivers and staff. They genuinely care about the residents and take the time to get to know them as individuals. My mom has been treated with dignity, respect, and patience, which has given our family tremendous peace of mind. The entire team has been responsive, organized, and supportive throughout the process. After our previous experience, we were understandably cautious, but Cottage Grove Place has restored our confidence and trust in memory care. We are deeply grateful for the exceptional care, kindness, and professionalism they have shown our family. I would highly recommend Cottage Grove Place to anyone seeking memory care for a loved one.

In late January, I spent 8 days in St. Luke's. I knew I was going to need short-term rehab and regular doctor visits following discharge. The discharge planner at St. Luke's gave me a list of 10 or 15 rehab facilities they routinely use. One facility was Cottage Grove Place (CGP). Google said it was only 1.5 miles up 1st Ave and had a rating of 4.7 stars. I'm so grateful that they had an opening and that I was accepted!

The hand off between St. Luke's and the rehab unit was perfect! The nursing and personal care staff were wonderful - competent and caring - ditto for the therapy staff. The food and food service, med management and housekeeping staff - all top of the line.

After a couple of weeks it was time for me to move toward independence. I was going to need ongoing physical and occupational therapy and wound care. Fortunately, CGP happened to have an apartment that we could rent on a short-term basis. The therapy staff came over to independent living and continued providing services. The transition from rehab to the apartment was well coordinated; nothing fell through the cracks.

My wound is now healed, I'm walking without assistance and I've regained strength. We plan to return home, sell our place and move back here becoming permanent Cottage Grove Place residents. It's the right time for us; and CGP is the right place.

There is a magic in this place. I had a lucky moment in life, when I was fortunate enough to be able to experience this magic. It changed me. Made me want to do better, be better. This magic is now a part of me. Guides me in everything I do. I am grateful beyond measure.

The 2 seminars I attended were both excellent. Gina on down-sizing was super, informative and entertaining. The lady from AARP was both knowledgeable and very helpful.
