Where do I start. The nurses are TERRIBLE. Such bad attitude. Went to visit my mother and am honestly debating bringing her out. Nurses seem to not care nor give the patient the attention they require. I understand there are many patients, but when you walk around with a grin on your face and cussing, that is not healthy for the poor patients to see. Super disappointed. Multiple doing same as well. However, on the good side, the nutrition team seemed EXCELLENT. There was a very nice young man, I think it was Brody or something along those lines. He greeted us and seemed to ACTUALLY care that we got the right food and we unfortunately didn’t receive an item on our list, he seemed glad to run back and get that for us. He also smiled every time he walked past. How come the nurses can’t be that nice? Overall. If nurses were nicer and acted like they cared I’d be much more comfortable. Still looks very clean in there and well taken care of.

I can’t say enough good things about Cedar! They truly live up to their CMS 5‑star rating. The staffing levels are so much better than other nursing homes I have been to and it truly shows in the quality of care. Every caregiver I’ve interacted with has been kind, patient, and genuinely invested in the well‑being of the residents. You can feel the compassion the moment you walk in the door! The environment is clean, calm, and well‑organized, and the team goes out of their way to make residents feel safe and supported. It’s clear that this isn’t just a workplace for them, it’s a place where they take pride in providing excellent care.

Mom arrived 2/26/26, was doing really good with lots of improvements. She has a trache. Not sure what happened but she passed away unexpectedly on 3/2/26. Staff didn’t call family when mom was unresponsive but waited 20 minutes or so later after trying cpr… i left work to go there and received a call from her nurse announcing her death. I received the 1st call around 8:52 pm, the final called was at 9:15 pm. I was told that mom passed away at 9:05 pm. Everyone was shocked including staff… she was doing great during my sibling visit.. he left at 7 pm. We were told that her body can stay there til the funeral home pick her up. We were paying respect and spending the last few hours with her. Funeral home was waiting for a call from them releasing her but never got one. While we were at the nursing home waiting for the funeral home. It was scheduled for 3 pm but bc of the poor communication, mom’s body was picked up around 5 pm. Very disappointed in the service here. Understaffed and took forever to answered call lights. 3/19 Update: email sent on 3/10 regarding mom and we finally received closure.

The environment is beautiful…the staff, not so much! I think if your loved one is fairly independent it is a nice place to be. But, if they need more specialized care…you will NOT find it here! Staff is overworked and understaffed and it shows in their care. We caught staff lying numerous times saying they did or did not do things. When brought concerns to administration, they talked the talk, but did not walk the walk. They allowed staff to get away with things, accused us of spying on them (what the heck!) and the care bordered on neglect and bullying. I truly believe my husband died prematurely while there because of the lack of care or even concern. With that said…there was a handful of nurses there that were great and they are not included in this poor review. But, overall…most were not! An added statement: this was not just my observations. All of his visitors and even his roommate said the same thing. There were also two staff members who witnessed these incidents of neglect and reported them through incident reports and speaking with administration.
