Clarkson Health Care

Clarkson Health Care is an assisted living facility located on the west side of Rapid City, South Dakota. The facility is state-licensed and Medicare approved, offering both long and short term stays in private accommodations.

The primary focus at Clarkson Health Care is rehabilitation. The facility maintains skilled nursing care with a professional nurse on duty 24 hours a day and a Medical Director directly involved in facility operations. A Social Services Coordinator, Activity Director, Director of Nursing, Therapist, and Dietary Aide meet regularly with each resident and family to develop individualized plans of care.

Residents are encouraged to participate in a variety of activities, outings, and events designed to meet creative, spiritual, recreational, and social needs. The facility was purchased by Westhills Village in 2000 and has since been renovated and upgraded.

The care team assesses resident needs and guides individuals along all appropriate levels of care, adjusting support as circumstances change. Staff maintain a commitment to meeting residents' physical and emotional needs in a compassionate and professional environment.
