It makes me sad to have give a poor rating for my friend. First of all she was suppposed to be in rehab and was put in nursing care due to space. There were some sweet people but the care was terrible.Several times i would come in the evening and she would be sitting in her poop and pee. She could go to the bathroom but they told her not to get up. One nurse in particular, Elsia, was so rude and strict in her orders to her that she wanted to hide in a closet. The one of the nurses assistants , Veronica, was so rough in changing her and then carried a terrible attitude mumbling under her bread, I didnt see no dam watch, after I asked her if she had seen it. There are not enough people there and the attitudes and how you handle patiences as well as how fast you clean them up should be of great importance. It is not there. The word Christian means love, compassion, caring people. It saddens me to say, there needs to be a lot of improvement in the long term care unit. The rehab people were great and maybe it would have been different if she had been in the right unit.

Took my mom to this facility after a knee surgery and torn tendon. The staff would not listen to doctors orders and clean it as needed. She got an infection so bad it sent her to the hospital for months and had to have the tendon that was replaced and a new knee put in due to the infection. Staff did not listen to her when she voiced her concerns about it getting worse until it got to the point where she had to be sent to the hospital because it was oozing so badly. Do not send your loved ones here. Staff are the rejects they send here as a last resort because of how bad they are. We could have avoided so much loss of time and rehabilitation with my mom if this place hadn’t have existed. The pain and suffering my mom went through while there and then after due to all the surgeries needed to fix the mess they caused was not needed. If you love someone do not send them here!

Tonya, the Wound Care Nurse and the Nurse Aids at Christian Care Rehabilitation Center in Meaquite, Texas helped my wife tremendously. They are by far the best when it comes to providing quality care for patients. They are also courteous, knowledgeable, professional, positive, and have high ratings in recovery goals for patients. To me. that's a winning team! 😶

My mom is currently in this facility. I should have heeded the poor rating. I am not posting a review out of anger just as a prevention for other families. As a nurse of 29 years I see so many things that would be cited at this facility. The boards in the room provided to identify who your care team is for the day is never written on. Patient identifiers are not asked when giving medications. Pain rating is not asked and no follow up for pain within the hour. Old equipment so loud it would be cited by OSHA. (I had to leave just for the sake of my own hearing) . They say use the call light if you need something...while you wait 20 minutes for response. Nurses do not identify themselves nor will they get up to answer a call light. Rooms look and feel like a 1970's motel room. Any physical therapy is only Monday-Friday. Patients are told to just go in the diaper and then they will change. (After how many hours?) The culture of care is off at this place. If you put your call light on during lunch your nurse cannot bring your pain meds if on "lunch" duty...feeding patients. So as a patient you are to understand and wait on pain medication. I have talked to administration several times but seems nothing can be addressed right away. I would not ever place my mom here again nor would I recommend this place to anyone's family member. Very frustrating!

I was in the Rehab center for 2 months and received great care. The staff were professional, especially Denise, Tadao and Grace and countless others. Please note that every patient has different needs and abilities so it's very important that if a different nurse or aid is helping you to please tell them what your own abilities are so you can receive the care you need.
