Cherry Blossom Cottage

Cherry Blossom Cottage is an assisted living and residential care facility in Portland, Oregon, founded in 1989 by Sylvia Griffin and now managed by her daughter Rebecca. The community provides genuine assisted living care and personal service to seniors in a small, home-like environment.

The facility offers one-bedroom apartments designed with unobstructed access to promote independence and reduce fall risk for residents using walkers or wheelchairs. The south end apartments feature smaller bathrooms for more independent residents, with larger shower rooms available for those requiring additional assistance. Residents can age in place as their care needs change, receiving services determined through thorough individual evaluation.

Care levels range from basic independent living with general services to more comprehensive assistance. Each resident's level of care is assessed individually, determining which services will be provided, their frequency, and duration. Care levels can increase monthly based on changing needs, while facility-wide rate increases are provided with 30 days notice. When two residents share an apartment, pricing is based on their individual care levels.

All medications must be in bubble pack form for safety reasons. Residents can choose their preferred pharmacy as long as it provides medications in this format; the facility uses Consonus for in-house supplies and bubble-pack medication. Residents and families are responsible for arranging transportation for visits away from the facility, as the community does not provide van or bus transportation.
