To whom it May concern, On May 29th 2026 I was transported in the middle of the night to the Chelsea place facility. I was put in a very small room with another older woman, who had her TV volume on high at this hour. I was left without a call about all night. Around 3:00 a.m. the nurse and aid came in to check my body, totally degrading experience, to say the least. I was in a Johnny nothing else I was afraid concerned and left alone with the deafening TV on and the roommate's light. While she yelled All night nurse. Couldn't sleep, couldn't get medicated, apparently my meds weren't available. Was told in the morning I get a tv, next day I was told no we don't do that. So the next morning I got one of my pain pills given to me that I have brought in with me before surgery but never got my other pain medication given to me and or returned even when I was discharged and left! The staff kept my pain meds! They didn't undress, clean and or address my wound mind you I'm here for this, yet it was never evaluated at all. The food was inedible completely disgusting no options just hot garbage. Went outside and was bombarded by two ladies begging and yelling for cigarettes begging a staff member kindly informed me, watch your belongings especially money, not sure if they meant staff or others but it sounded like they meant staff. You have to make an appointment for visits? Why? I'm from the Norwich area, to expect my mother to come 1 hour to see me for 30 minutes in a rec room because my room is too small or my roommates too disruptive is unreal. Oh and to be told to bring a TV radio food drinks and anything else needed. This place can't be that broke! I also had gotten my monthly period, was asking every staff for help and to be ignored no call Bell was answered and finally one person rolled her eyes at me and found me from in hiding pad. I then had had enough I demanded to leave immediately! It took 2 hours to be transported back to St Francis hospital which is 5 minutes down the road to get my PICC line removed. All because I couldn't get adequate and proper care. I am now recuperating at home but I feel so sorry for the poles that are stuck in that auto place. One star is being generous. This place was filthy, packed full of people and the rooms were too tiny for 2 people.. oh did I mention you share a bathroom with your next door neighbor? It's a jack and jill bathroom for four people. The staff had no compassion or empathy, they were there to serve ur food pretty much. Push the bell, no one comes! Need help ? Nothing! I Stayed here ONE NIGHT and it should be shut down. The food is basically bread and water with a milk on the side. Not edible to say the least, I went for rehabilitation services for aftercare and left as soon as the ink dried on my paperwork. Never EVER again! I suggest no one is out here for just humane purposes.

Absolutely incompetent and rude receptionist. I received a message about a very dear friend who has been staying here. I have been his medical conservator. As such, I do not make decisions about his health care before discussing with him. I was transferred to a social workers phone extension that had a 3 months old. Further, they would not allow me to speak with the person. I will be reporting this agency to The Department of Health. I worked in healthcare for my career. This is unacceptable and if I could rate it zero or less I would. Avoid this agency. I honestly wonder if there is Medicaid fraud occurring here.

This facility is completely unacceptable. Do NOT fall for the pictures on their website. From the moment you walk in, there is a strong odor throughout the building that raises immediate concerns about cleanliness. The food is inedible, the front desk staff are inattentive (we witnessed a receptionist on FaceTime while a resident asked for help and was ignored), and the overall level of care is extremely concerning. My stepdaughter lives here and shares a bathroom with a male resident who can access her room at any time, yet they enforce strict 30-minute supervised visitation policies, this makes no sense and feels unsafe. We have been working to have her transferred but appearing have to wait 30 days for another evaluation and that’s not even guaranteed. The shared shower for residents is absolutely disgusting. It is visibly dirty, stained, and clearly not being properly cleaned. No one should be expected to bathe in those conditions. Even worse, call bells often go unanswered, my stepdaughter has had to call family for help just to use the bathroom. Overall, this place is unsanitary, poorly managed, and neglectful. I would never recommend this facility.
