I called to check on my mom in memory care at 2 pm. Was told I’d get a call back. Didn’t. Called again at 8 and told I would get a call back, didn’t. Called at 9 and asked for the manager on duty to call back. Nothing. I asked who was in charge of my mother’s care and it seems it’s the same person who picks up the main number. This is memory care not assisted living. She was the only one there. Not sure my mom is getting the proper care. I do not live close to check, I rely on information from the facility. Can’t get information from my mom, this memory care. Since no one will call me I hope this review gets some attention.

Visiting a friend who moved from independent living to Memory Care. She's still adjusting. She likes the food and the services. The facility looks very clean and staff are friendly.

My mother was one of the first residents at Charter (when it was The Linden). In the nearly 4 years since she has been there, we’ve had some wonderful and very positive experiences, and some less-than-positive experiences, mostly around the time of the transition. I am very pleased to report, however, that the growing pains were worth it. Mom’s care is where it should be after a rough spot. The care staff has been wonderful, kind, caring and attentive. Administration listened to my concerns and acted on them. If this can be sustained, and I am confident that it will be, I’ll be amending my rating to 5 stars soon!

My brother and I recently moved our 91-year-old Mom into Charter Senior Living of Brookfield, and I can’t say enough about how smoothly the transition went. This was a big change that she dreaded after she had been living in her home for all of her life, but the kindness and care shown by everyone we met made the experience so much easier for her and for our family. From the very beginning, we felt welcomed and supported.<br><br>While it was a positive experience from everyone we met, I want to express a special thank you to the following members of the Charter team for going above and beyond to help us work out logistics of moving in, as well as helping Mom settle in and feel comfortable. Their thoughtfulness and patience made all the difference! To Jillian and Darlene - you helped make my initial exploratory call (from long distance!) and paperwork process flow seamlessly! Sunshine - your nurse assessment visit with Mom and my brother left them feeling good about the decision to choose Charter for Mom’s move. Jacob - thank you for your help to my brother with logistics regarding moving in furniture and getting things ready for day one. Romero - what can I say?! You greeted Mom with open arms Day One and your kindness hasn’t stopped! Keith - you made us feel so welcome in the Dining Room, and thank you for finding the coffee ice cream (IYKYK). Sandy - you win the award for getting Mom to attend her first activity and eating in the dining room on her own for the first time, I’m still not sure how you did it but she’s been eating her meals there ever since!<br><br>We are so grateful for the warm environment and the wonderful staff who clearly care about the residents. Knowing Mom is in such good hands gives us tremendous peace of mind.
