We moved my father in for what turned out to be a month of rehab. We were pleasantly surprised by the staff and their accessibility. Sajal, Joyce, Ade, Heather business, Phillip, Sunday, Mary, Kimmy and I’m sure I left some out. Josh the new director too. They shared their cell numbers so that we could text for updates, and they were very responsive. Joyce made the transition in and out seamless.

Very friendly staff. Very helpful and respectful. Only issue and funny I am 72 and was asked twice by employees if I was a new resident and they wanted to introduce themselves. Guess I am getting to that stage of life. 🫣😳

I’ve thought long and hard what I would say. About Westside Village. In the beginning everything was ok except for our dogs situation. Most of the nurses and techs were afraid of the dogs. Their reactions made our dogs aggressive. Now on to the real complaints. My husband was supposed to come home on May 3rd because we paid for the extra week. On the Friday the first your caseworker hadn’t even order the bed and there was also problems with the O2 . I had to find the O2, an Airvo machine, etc. The caseworker has the nerve to ask me to pay for him to stay longer. I said absolutely not it wasn’t our fault that she couldn’t do her job. She kept having delays do to not knowing how to do her job. We finally got him home home on May 21st and he passed away on the 22. My son and I are really mad because she robbed us of time with. Let me say that the caseworker is a nice person she just doesn’t know how to do her job.

Most of the nurses could not speak food English. They did not put my father on a medically needed machine overnight. A threatened to put him in diapers. A patient has the right to refuse that but they still insisted. His bathroom soap did not work and had expired 2 years prior. Orders for home oxygen or put in by the doctor on a Friday, however the home health care place did not get the order until Monday at 1:00 p.m.. his family had to actually get it all set up. However the nurse practitioner the doctor and the therapist were very excellent!
