Can’t say enough about how awful the experience was there. They said the patient who is deep in dementia was her own person and capable of making her own decisions. There was no communication and discharged simply to get her out of the facility even though it was clearly an unsafe discharge. Beware beware

Carlyle House is a building and a business but what I learned over the years it is really a Home (House) with Friends and Family. The care staff including nurses, CNAs, admin etc. are amazing. Total team effort and a central focus on care for the residents and care for the family members rose to the top. The chef's handling meals, the activities staff making sure people are alert and having fun. The maintenance staff who keeps the place and grounds looking and smelling like a home you would visit often. My mother and her sister (my aunt) were here for about 10 years. There is no other place I would trust to care for my family.

I feel such gratitude for the staff at Carlisle House. They are taking incredible care of my mother. They are extremely attentive to her. We visit daily, and they seek us out to update us on her care and how she is doing. When we ask questions they can't answer, the follow up the next day with answers (even if they aren't caring for our mother that day). This is an amazing group of people and caregivers!
