First Light provided us with live in care for our mother for over 4 years. In the beginning, Wendy worked hard to find us the right caregiver until she found the perfect woman who stayed with us the remainder of our mother’s life. Wendy was always willing to work through any issues as they arose. She is friendly, available and communicates well. We hired a caregiver directly for a little while but, there were too many challenges with this approach so, decided to use an agency instead. I highly recommend First Light. Give them a call!

We had an excellent experience with FirstLight Home Care of West Suburban Boston and would highly recommend them to anyone in need of senior care. We reached out in the middle of the afternoon with an urgent need for care that same evening. Of the three agencies we contacted, FirstLight responded within minutes. They took the time to understand our situation and quickly arranged for a caregiver to be with our father that night. While the other agencies didn’t respond until much later (or at all), FirstLight already provided us with a detailed update after the very first visit—something we didn’t expect but deeply appreciated. Those updates continued daily throughout the entire engagement. Just as important, our father truly enjoyed the caregivers who spent time with him over several weeks. That meant everything to us. We always felt informed and confident that he was in good hands. Everyone we interacted with was professional, responsive, and genuinely kind. We especially appreciated the proactive communication, including the owner's check-ins to ensure everything was going smoothly. It was clear that this team takes real pride in their work and truly cares about their clients. We’re very grateful for their support and would not hesitate to use them again or recommend them to others.

I feel fortunate that First Light Homecare was recommended to us. They responded to my request immediately, answered all my questions and understood my concerns. We were looking for a caregiver to help with my husband who has Parkinson’s and dementia. We were matched with a kind, experienced caregiver who was a real find. The agency stayed in close contact with me and the caregiver to make sure things were going well and address any issues. Everyone I dealt with at First Light was thoughtful, friendly and professional. I would recommend them without hesitation.

We have been using First Light For a year, and our experience has been very positive. Melissa has been handling our account, and it has found qualified personnel to help take care of our mom. They have also been able to arrange transportation when needed, which has been extremely helpful. Even on short notice, they’re able to adjust the schedule. The aides are friendly, and for the most part excellent. I would recommend First Light to anyone looking for at home care for a loved one.
