I had total knee replacement 10 days ago and have been receiving home physical therapy through Indiana HomeCare Northwest since. Three different therapists have come to the house and all are highly experienced, professional, and caring. Working with them is making my rehab much easier to deal with than I had anticipated. I will soon be transitioning to out patient therapy to begin working on machines, but Indiana HomeCare Northwest will be top of mind when I schedule my other knee in a few months. Thank you!

Horrible agency. Fired them after 2 months this spring. Staff was very unprofessional. Ine nurse visited at least 5 times and never even took his vitals.

I have been undergoing physical therapy for 2 knee surgeries that I have had within the past year. I have been fortunate to have good therapist along the way, but Bryan O. and Dave are by far heads and shoulders above the rest. They were both very thorough, explaining the exercises or the therapy that I was being given, explaining the importance of it, and making sure that I was performing the exercises correctly. Both are very personable, sincere, caring, and attentive. I actually achieved the best range of motion with Bryan and Dave in charge of my treatment and highly recommend them both.

would not recommend this company for anything. they rushed my grandpa thru his therapy exercises, and he has several cognitive disorders, and moves real slow. finally he would just give up and lay back in bed. horrible company.

Reviews for Caretenders are mixed: some families praise the physical therapy staff for being thorough and attentive, while others report serious lapses in care quality and professionalism, particularly with nursing visits and therapy pacing for patients with cognitive impairment.

Does Medicare cover care from Caretenders?

Yes. Caretenders is a Medicare-certified home health agency, so Medicare Part A or Part B pays in full for skilled nursing, therapy and home health aide visits when a doctor orders them and the patient is homebound. There is no copay for covered home health visits. Medicare rates the agency's quality of patient care 3.5 out of 5 stars.

Do I need a referral to use Caretenders?

For Medicare to pay, yes: a doctor, nurse practitioner or physician assistant must certify that care is needed and sign a plan of care.
