My grandmother with dementia has been here a couple months and seems so much happier than the last place she was at. Dawn made the intake so easy and she was great to talk to. The staff are very caring and friendly, they call and keep you updated on everything going on. There is always some kind of fun activities going on for the residents. Everything is always clean as well. I would highly recommend Brookdale!

We just spent a wonderful day with my dad at Brookdale in Valparaiso, where he is a resident in one of their assisted living apartments. St. Patrick's Day was the theme and families were invited. We had a delicious meal of Irish Stew, fun drinks, joined in a sing-along of familiar Irish tunes, and had a demonstration of chair exercises that residents regularly do, where we participated. The staff was friendly and attentive, and everyone had a lot of fun. What a wonderful way to showcase my dad's home in a way that includes his family with him, and that makes him proud. Thank you to everyone at Brookdale Valpo who made this possible, we truly appreciate your time and all your hard work!

My wife is gradually losing the use of her brain. This makes her increasingly vulnerable as the months roll by. As her dementia has progressed, the people at the Brookdale Alzheimer's and Dementia Care facility and the staff of Dunes Hospice have made the necessary adjustments to accommodate her increasing need for care and safety. We have noticed this and are very appreciative of it. The staff people there are consistently kind, caring, and competent which we also notice and appreciate. Knowing that my wife and the mother of our kids is in such caring and capable hands is a great comfort not only for her, but for our entire family. We are all so grateful. Thank you!

We moved my mother here and she loves it. The staff cares an interacts with all the guests. The staff is kind and courteous even to the difficult people. I have nothing negative to say. The facilities are clean and everyone's encouraged to be in the common areas. I highly recommend Brookdale.

The service from the nurses and staff members were very friendly towards my family and my grandfather. They answered any of our questions and offered a variety of welcoming snacks and a relaxing area for us if we were staying overnight. They were very lenient towards our younger family members and didn't make a fuss about them being *too* noisy. Nothing was wrong when I visited. Just keep in mind it's expensive to keep a loved one there. (for us i believe it was 2,000 for 10 days.)
