I wouldn’t send my worst enemy to this facility!!!! As soon as I exited the elevator I was immediately hit with an overwhelming smell of urine. As I got closer to my loved ones room I could see how run down and dirty this place is. Once in my loved ones room I witnessed furniture that looked as if it came from a dump, lots of remnants of food under a bed and all over the room, dirt and dustballs all over the room. It looked as if the room hadn’t been cleaned in weeks. There was also dried feces on the floor. The lack of attention the staff gives to the patients is horrible. And the attitude they have when merely doing their job is disgraceful. I did not encounter one staff member that didn’t give attitude fiercely. From patients roaming the halls at all hours, to the staff telling my loved one that stuff gets stolen all the time, to my loved once getting strip searched to my loved one being told they had to tell a nurse their financial information…sketchy!!! I pulled my loved one out of there after being there for 12 hours! STAY AWAY FROM CARE ONE NORTHAMPTON!!!!!

My father was at this facility from a Wednesday night to Friday morning in the summer of 2025. He did not receive any of his medication from his arrival Wednesday night until Thursday afternoon, and staff were unable to locate his discharge paperwork from a major Boston hospital. I spent most of that day on the phone with leadership to address it and made it clear I was prepared to remove him. After that escalation, his care briefly improved. It did not last. By Friday morning, he was overfed through a feeding tube, became severely nauseated, vomited, and began aspirating. I had to insist staff call 911. He developed pneumonia as a result. This is a basic failure of care. That same morning, he was repeatedly harassed by a non-clinical staff member who woke him by yelling down the hall, entered his room multiple times after being asked to stop, and told him he “deserved” his cancer. When my father reported this, staff suggested he was experiencing dementia. He was not. In the months prior, he had been treated at multiple hospitals and long-term care facilities where he was consistently described as a favorite patient. This was not a behavioral issue. All of this occurred in what became the final months of his life, and he was not treated with even basic dignity. We never returned after he was taken to the hospital. No one from the facility followed up. A complaint has been filed with the Department of Public Health. I would not trust this facility with the care of anyone I love.

I have had MANY family members at this center including my own father during his final days. To say that the staff is caring and compassionate simply isn't enough. Thank you to the staff for showing up every day and for the hardwork you do caring for people during their time of need. The relief knowing that your loved one is truly being cared for by heartfelt staff doesn't go unnoticed. Thank you for all you do!

My mother received excellent service at Care One at Northampton. Personal and professional staff. She was kept comfortable and surrounded by exceptional care. An extra 'thank you' to Jim, Scott, and Kaitlyn for their communication and organization capabilities. Highly recommend!

My mom Bea Rose started her journey at CareOne in Northampton on the Rehab floor after a fall resulting in a shoulder fracture at her Assisted Living Memory Care facility. The staff on the rehab floor are wonderful & very professional. The care she received was excellent. The SW was aware of our plan not to send her back to the facility after recovery. They offered us a LTC bed on Federal 2. The staff here are excellent too. We never worried about how when was being cared for, & communication was always great. When she began to decline, they recommended Hospice & we accepted that. The day before she passed we were informed by hospice of her grave decline. We, the family, came in to be with her & say our goodbyes. They were very accommodating to her needs as well as ours. In order to give us privacy & not disrupt her roommates bedtime routine, we asked if there was a private room that she could be moved to. They accommodated us once again by moving her to a private room on the rehab floor on 2. We stayed with her for 5 hours until she was visibly more comfortable with the addition of Morphine. She passed at 4 AM & again we went to be with her & the staff was so very supportive. I can't say enough about the entire staff including the Financial Office manager, Pam Hodges who was incredibly helpful to us during her admission process & the difficult task of getting her on Mass Health & Medicaid.
