Why has this place not commented on the posts from people 8 months ago??? Must be true then. Cuz they commented on posts from 2 years ago That's the last time they made a comment. But of course it was on a good review, not a bad review. I feel those are the ones that need to addressed! And to the families that posted most recently, I'm so sorry you all had to go through that. How inhumane 😔.. I just recently learned of this place..a very dear friend to me recently had heart surgery and has a treck. We were told that we would be notified when my friend would be transported from the hospital to this place, but for some apparent reason we weren't notified until last Friday that he was transported to CAPITOL HOUSING NURSING HOME ON TUESDAY! so 3 days later we were told! Anyway me and his kids went, we brought him his things, because they don't supply anything. He had to have his own CLOTHES, UNDER GARMENTS, PERSONAL HYGIENE, TV. So we were thinking it was a good place we were positive about it... when we arrived, we were like OK, IT DON'T LOOK BAD. we approach the doorway and the DOOR AUTOMATICALLY OPENS FOR YOU. So I was thinking ok, well its good so far... then you have to sign in... HE WASN'T IN THE SYSTEM YET!! I'm like WTH- OK HERE WE GO! So the lady at the front desk says, OH JUST SCROLL THROUGH THE NAMES AND PICK ONE, i didn't want to do that, but it was the only way in. So the 3 of us did, and she then tells us to proceed to the next nurses station and we will be told what room to go to.. As we walking through the hallway, THE URINE SMELL WAS SUFFOCATING! then to the right of the rooms, im guessing it was a kitchen area at one time, but there must have been 30 people in wheelchairs just all in a cluster circle, just there, pretty uncomfortable! They couldn't wheel themselves I don't think...so we finally got to my friends room, THE LOOK ON HIS FACE WAS HEARTBREAKING! I'VE NEVER SEEN HIM SO SCARED IN MY LIFE! AND HE'S AN X MARINE! This place in my opinion look like a PRE-MORGUE/BREATHING GROUND! This is not the rite place for my friend...I want to take him out of here but idk the procedure to do so... IF ANYONE HAS ANY SUGGESTIONS PLEASE COMMENT HERE... THANK YOU.. and as I said MY CONDOLENCES TO THESE FAMILIES THAT HAVE LOST THEIR LOVED ONES. I PRAY FOR YOU ALL TO FIND SOME COMFORT AND PEACE THROUGH ALL OF THIS ❤️ 💙 💜

I came to this place for skilled and had to stay over. It was great and I could not ask for better hospitality here. Everybody has been really nice helping me. When I first came here I could not walk on my own or write. The care was very well. I can walk on my own and almost do everything on my own thank God. I would recommend Capital house to anyone needing help. Thank you to my daughter Ashley Brumfield, Charee Michelle, & Dervick Cato for sending me here.

This place is absolutely HORRIBLE! Every time we went to see my brother he was full of poop. The nurses/nurses aides were rude with absolutely NO BEDSIDE MANNER. My family did not want to move my brother here from the hospital but it was the only place available due to his condition. He was there for almost two weeks before developing MRSA & pneumonia. He died a couple days after starting a new round of antibiotics. I read the negative reviews from people who were in similar situations as my family but I never thought that my brother would be one of the ones to die, like so many others, after only a couple of weeks at this horrible facility. To top it all off, when I arrived at the nursing home & found out my brother had passed away, his nurse told me & my husband “it is, what it is”. What kind of comment is that to make to a grieving family member? Capitol House needs to either retrain their staff OR give them a script to read when informing a family member that their loved one has died. Please, if you love your family member, DO NOT SEND THEM TO THIS PLACE! 💔

My mother has been placed here for a few weeks now. This place is a sorry excuse for a rehabilitation center. The place is run like a fast food joint with a bunch of people that don't want to do their jobs. I walked in for the first time and every staff member I walked by was nose deep on their phones. The cleanliness of the place is worse than a fast food place. The bed they have my mother on has a layer of dust on it that was UNDER THE MATTRESS. I'm talking about it looks like fresh snow fall piled up on the frame of the bed. That's decades of accumulated dust and she has respiratory problems. The staff is straight up rude. They have let my mother sit in soiled diapers for hours even though she has a bad bed sore. They don't even wipe her, they just change the diaper and disappear. She doesn't need the diapers, they're just to lazy to walk her to the bathroom. They don't treat her bed sore, she's supposed to be there for physical therapy, but they keep her in the bed. They never bring my mother drinks. She's unable to leave the bed. They've been tube feeding her even though she was weaned off of it. This place is a nightmare for anyone, I wouldn't send my worst enemy to this place. Update: 12/25/2023 They decided to switch my mother to a catheter. When I arrived, the catheter bag that holds 2 liters of fluid fell to the floor due to the weight of the overfilled bag. My mother also told me they didn't feed her at all today from either feeding tube, or anything else. They haven't been giving her medications that she needs for pain management from a broken tailbone and her bad bed sore that they haven't treated at all. The people here couldn't care less about any of their patients.
