About Capitol Hill Healthcare

Capitol Hill Healthcare is a skilled nursing and long-term care facility in Montgomery, Alabama, with a licensed capacity of 284 residents. The community serves patients recovering from surgery, those in need of ongoing skilled care, and individuals transitioning from hospice.

Family experiences at Capitol Hill are notably divided. Positive reviewers consistently praise the nursing and caregiving staff, describing them as compassionate, patient, and attentive, with one family noting their mother "has absolutely thrived" after being admitted from hospice care. Families highlight the facility's cleanliness, variety of activities and rehabilitation programs, and quality of meals. However, some reviewers report concerns about responsiveness to resident requests and the pace of rehabilitation support, with one family describing long wait times when using the call button and feeling that care sometimes amounts to "bare minimum" assistance.

The five-star reviews emphasize staff quality and compassionate care; lower ratings raise questions about consistency in response times and rehabilitation intensity that prospective families may want to explore directly with the community.

Recently, my mom was a patient of Capitol Hill's Rehab First. I couldn't have hoped for a more awesome experience. The ENTIRE staff was great! They were professional and caring, and treated mom like family. Not only did they care for mom but; they cared for me as well. The facility was extremely clean. The have a lot of activities for their patients/residents. I highly recommend Capitol Hill.

Capital Hill provided exceptional care for my father-in-law. The nurses and caregivers were very compassionate and went the extra mile to ensure he received top quality care. Caregivers treated him like family and the food was delicious

My mother was there for 4 years, Dad for 6 months. I can honestly say both of my parents received a lot of love and caring from the administrative staff, nurses and other caregivers at Capital Hill. It's the staff and caregivers that make the difference. So glad we chose Capital Hill.

This place does the bare minimum.. My mother is there after surgery on her hip and they don’t do anything to help.. They do the minimum one class a day for rehabilitation, Other than that, they don’t go in the room.. If she asks For something it takes half a day to get it done.. She hits the button and it takes an hour sometimes to get in there… What if she was having a heart attack or she had fallen?…. Do not do not bring your loved ones here…. They do the bare minimum… It’s like a bunch of Walmart workers I would, however, like to add there is one good nurse there by the name of Edwina She took very good care of my mother and was very attentive And has even kept contact with her after she left the place Edwina is the savior of this place in my opinion

My mother has been a resident in long-term care since July 2024. When I admitted her, she was on hospice care. She has absolutely THRIVED under the care of the staff at Capitol Hill, and she has been taken off hospice. My mom loves living there! I have peace of mind knowing that all her needs are being looked after. The nurses are just wonderful and patiently answer my questions each time I visit. The business office has been wonderful to work with when I have questions. The management is very hands-on and approachable.
