Our mother moved in 12/24 and it was a perfect transition from independent living to assisted living. The company went through ownership changes during her stay at Camellia, the staff was always strong and constant in their devotion to her and others. I spent quite a bit of time with Mom and found it to always be an uplifting enviorment. She eventually scored her 2BR with balcony and loved the last of her days. It takes a special calling to work in the world of seniors with personality changes and working with the family's. Nichole, Michelle, Karen, Rachell, I can go on an on and don't want to leave anyone out, have always been easy to work with and we knew they were there on behalf of Mom and her neighbors. It is a community and they loved my Mom. XOXO

Camellia is an amazing place! It isn't just a beautiful building and inviting grounds, it is the culture of the staff who work there that make it so amazing! Everyone, and I mean everyone from all departments, greets you with a smile and are friendly. The facility provides many life enriching activities or excursions while not being over-stimulating. My grandmother lived in the Memory Care unit for 2 years. Not only did they provide her with exceptional care for her condition, but they also provided her with many opportunities to engage in quality-of-life promoting activities. The residents of Memory Care are far from forgotten as they are included and given the opportunity to participate with supervision from staff with the activities outside of their unit. Family is always encouraged to attend as well. Camellia really feels like "Home."

Both of my parents have been residents at the Camellia at Deerwood for several years. Executive Director Nicole Briggs leads this amazing caregiving team with compassion, dignity & honor. Both Nicole & Wellness Director TraVoya Hall-Moultrie truly care about their residents & are sincerely the most incredible advocates when it comes to our parents health, wellness & quality of life!! They truly are a blessing in our families life journey!!!

If there was a higher grade than 5, I would give it. I moved my parents from the Tampa area to Camillia at Deerwood. They had lived in their home for 65 years, so to say I was nervous would be an understatement. My mother is now in independent living and my father is in memory care. My mother is "happier than she has been in years". That is her words, not mine. She continues to say, "I am on a cruise ship, and everyone waits on me". My father is in memory care and Miss Michelle has taken such great care of him. This was a very nervous move as their son, but it was the best decision I could have ever made. Miss Nicole (ED) and Miss Michelle (the head of memory care) have been so wonderful. I immediately felt like I had family members taking over for me during a very stressful time. I cannot say enough great things about Camillia at Deerwood. Even now when I go to visit, I am greeted as a family member, not as a visitor. It is all about family. I hope to be at Camillia one day.

My poor friend’s apartment has bern crawling with roaches for over six months. They cant get a handle on the problem and wont relocate her.
