Brookdale Galleria

Brookdale Galleria is a senior living community located in Houston's Galleria district, offering independent living, assisted living, and skilled nursing and rehabilitation on one campus. As a continuing care retirement community (CCRC), it provides three levels of care so residents can remain in a familiar setting even as their needs change over time.

Apartment homes come in more than a dozen floor plans, including studio, one-bedroom, and two-bedroom layouts with natural light and walk-in closets; many units include a balcony. The community is pet-friendly. Independent living residents enjoy amenities such as a swimming pool, an arts and crafts studio, and freedom from home maintenance chores, while assisted living adds support with daily tasks like dressing, bathing, and medication management. Skilled nursing and rehabilitation services are also available on campus, and caregivers and staff are available 24 hours a day.

Daily life includes programs such as yoga, walking groups, creative classes, brain games, cocktail hours by the pool, and a community cabaret show. Popular resident clubs include a Veterans Association, Music Group, Crafting Circle, and Walking Club, and common hobbies include journaling, painting, gardening, knitting, and reading. The resident community includes retired civil servants, military personnel, and educators with connections to Rice University, along with veterans such as Air Force officers and Navy commanders.

Dining is described as personalized, with residents able to share favorite recipes, request dishes, and take part in menu discussions; meals emphasize whole grains, lean proteins, fruits, and vegetables. A Personal Solutions delivery program allows residents to have personal care items delivered directly to their apartment door.
