Lena was an excellent caregiver for my mother who was in her early 90s. She had dementia and suffered a stroke. She was wheelchair bound. Lena was calming and patient with her. My mom definitely bonded with Lena and was happy to be left in her care. Lean was very professional. She was on time and didn’t hesitate to communicate with me about what my mom needed. I’m so thankful that Lena was there to help my mom and our family during that very difficult time.

Lena and her team gave my mother dignity, warmth, and genuine love — and gave me peace of mind during the hardest chapter of our lives. When my mother entered memory care, I was terrified. Would she be safe? Would she feel frightened or alone? Would anyone actually see her — not just a resident, but a person? Lena answered every one of those fears. She was so dependable and reliable l! She showed up every day no matter what was going on in her personal life. From the very beginning, she operated with a level of professionalism and compassion that I didn’t even know to hope for. I was kept informed of every detail — changes in my mother’s mood, her meals, her good days and her harder ones. I never had to chase anyone down for an update or wonder what was happening when I couldn’t be there. Lena made sure I was always in the loop, with honesty and care in equal measure. That kind of transparency is rare, and to a family member who can’t be present 24 hours a day, it is everything. But what moved me most was watching my mother with Lena. She lit up. And my mother, at that stage of her illness, didn’t light up easily. Lena had so much patience and she treated my mom either compassion. Her staff followed her lead with that same gentleness and respect. I cannot overstate how much it matters, to have caregivers who understand that the person in front of them is still fully a person. Lena understood that completely. Our family is deeply grateful.

Lena and and her team cared for my mother in our home for two years. They became part of our household and true friends to our family.
