i spoke with the business office coordinator, Devona Douglas, today to check on my grandmother and she was more than helpful, she is my favorite worker, and I believe she deserves a raise for being so compassionate to all the patients and there families that are at Brookdale, I never have to worry about my grandmother when I know Ms. Douglas is there.

I do not recommend Brookdale of Gallatin. Frequently raise their rates and ancillary charges but the care and service does not improve. Even the director admits the meals are substandard. It's been over 2 weeks and no one from Brookdale Sr. Management has attempted to contact me.

I am a nurse and have experienced several assisted living care facilities through patient care and with my family. Brookdale is hands down the best I’ve seen. The staff are amazing. They are so kind and caring, and you see it immediately in the interactions between the staff and residents. When I was helping my dad move to Brookdale, both the staff and the residents would introduce themselves, offer help, and tell me about Brookdale—the residents especially spoke of how it is home, and how happy they are living there. It is a very active, positive environment, with a beautiful courtyard. This is not a facility as you think of with assisted living, it is a home. Sadly, my dad was never able to move in, as his health deteriorated unexpectedly. Even after this occurred, the staff was so helpful and supportive. I live in Maryland, and even with the stresses of living farther away, I was able to easily reach out for help via calls and emails. I want to also recognize all of the nursing staff (the nursing director, Kim, is phenomenal); Brookdale’s executive director, Dale, who has been incredibly helpful to me, and this is after my dad was unable to move in; and the sales manager, Lisa, who was also incredibly helpful in the process of choosing an apartment and moving my dad’s things in. I highly recommend Brookdale Senior Living in Gallatin.

Brookdale is not a facility, not even a home. Brookdale IS home for it’s residents. Every administrator, staff member, and resident are a part of a unique family culture. In my opinion, this bond is the result of continuing effort, education, care, accountability, and personal emotional investment. I give four stars only because I am of the thought that improvement should always be a goal. If better ideas, practices, programs can be achieved Brookdale, Gallatin will bring them home.

Our brother was privileged to call Brookdale Gallatin home for almost two years. The staff is caring, helpful, friendly, and professional. They all—the executive director, the activities director, the maintenance director, the nurses, the kitchen staff, the various caregivers—went above and beyond to make our brother’s time there a wonderful, heartwarming, life-extending experience. There’s a family atmosphere that we have not seen in other facilities. We highly recommend Brookdale Gallatin to anyone looking for a facility for a family member or friend.
