The staff is never available when residents need assistance, and maintenance requests take far too long to be addressed. The laundry room is always disorganized and dirty, and the utility sink is often left with food and other messes in it. There is one housekeeper who does an excellent job, but unfortunately, another one consistently does the bare minimum and leaves basic cleaning undone. Many residents are no longer physically able to clean their own rooms, yet the floors are not vacuumed and the toilets are not properly cleaned. The dirt and grime continue to build up, leaving the rooms extremely dirty. Since the staff does not provide the assistance residents need, the situation becomes even more difficult. Residents should not have to live with accumulated dirt simply because basic cleaning is not being done. The overall service is very disappointing.

Communication, seriously, lacking, new activities directed doesn’t know how things were done before it would help her to know and if she chooses to change things, I think that would be up to us not her or at least have a dialogue so we would understand one another

All<br>The negative comments are actually true.<br>I<br>Toured this place - staff were visibly defeated, building was in need of serious up keep, and residents looked like prisoners. I asked point blank about the things I saw- the response was - we are sending someone from corporate to help - lol turns out, that person never really ever visited- is all talk and no real world experience that is actually needed / like how the little things matter - paint - vacuum- sun shine and treating the folks who live there like it’s their home and not that they are in prison. I think they are on their 3rd or 4th executive director search in 12 months -<br>Brookdale should fire every executive that has ever overseen this place.<br><br>What a disgusting way to treat the elderly

I would like to add that the facility needs bus drivers..The residents r paying for the bus service to Dr appointments and it should be available to them..also CNAs should accompany residents on bus trips to sight see at beachs as well as just taking rides..I agree with Cadna Goncalves that the residents r locked up, without much stimulation...The doors should be opened to the outside on the memory care side so residents may sit outside if they so desire..Winter is very long on Cape Cod, and the residents deserve some supervised outdoor time for Vit D ,socialization, fresh air, and to look at their surroundings..an aide can sit with them..I have not seen an exercise program while sitting in a chair or wheel chair, moving feet, legs, arms, head..they could easily put a program on the large screen in activity room or meet in dining room...Not enough musical entertainment on the memory care side..It's there for the regular assisted living side, but not for the memory care side..They r jipped on the Memory care side...I have not seen them paint pictures with water colors..or with crayons...I dont hear them singing songs in a group being led by an aide...hymns or national anthems...haven't seen them work with florals..to make bouquets...or charades...games...
