The staff are excellent and attentive. The sales manager is wonderful and knowledgeable. She is caring and listened to my family needs to meet us where our loved is in preparation for transition in care. The facilities are great and the activities look fun. I would recommend Brookdale Camino Del Sol to anyone who is looking for a community with caring and compassionate staff who make people in various stages of cognitive care feel at home and purposeful.

We are currently in the process of moving my mom to Brookdale Camino del Sol, and I wanted to take a moment to recognize the team for how they have handled the entire process so far.<br><br>From our first conversation, Angelic, the Sales Manager, has been incredibly responsive, transparent and willing to work with our family to find a solution that made sense for my mom and my dad. There was never a feeling of being pressured into making a decision. She listened to our concerns, answered our questions and worked hard to make the transition possible for our family.<br><br>Rochelle, LPN, conducted my mom’s assessment and took the time to really understand her current needs rather than making assumptions. My mom requires a significant level of assistance, and it was extremely important to us to know that everyone understood exactly what would be required before we made a decision. Rochelle made us feel comfortable that we were having an honest conversation about what Brookdale could provide.<br><br>I also had the opportunity to meet Sylvia, the Executive Director. I was impressed by how involved and accessible she was throughout the process. Having the Executive Director personally engaged gave us additional confidence that communication and resident care are taken seriously at this community.<br><br>Moving a parent into memory care—or moving them from one community to another—is not an easy decision for any family. What I have appreciated most about Sylvia, Rochelle and Angelic is that they have treated this as more than simply filling an available room. They have treated my mom as a person and our family with compassion and respect.<br><br>My mom will be moving into Brookdale shortly, so our experience as a resident is just beginning. But based on everything we have experienced during the assessment and admission process, we feel very good about the decision we’ve made and are looking forward to having her become part of the Brookdale Camino del Sol community.

This has been a great facility . When we first brought my Mom to this facility a couple years ago, staff seemed happy and there seemed to always be additional staff coming over from other facilities. Lately it has been affected by major process changes and a large staff departure due to change in management direction . The most important thing when caring for seniors is limiting change, because their minds don’t adapt as they could once do when younger. It’s beyond belief that an established organization as Brookdale could accept massive employee turnover for any reason other than due to the abuse of the residents by staff .No Negligent care of residents was happening as far a I know and my parent was happy and fairly clear minded before these massive staff departures, so not sure why this has occurred. I’ve noticed significant increase in the confusion affecting my mother pertaining to facility schedules, changing staff and procedures. This has also affected her clarity on other personal processes . At this time At this time I’m very concerned for the health of my Mom. Camino Del Sol as it stands today, is far from a so called “memory care facility”.

Don’t recommend at all! They double brief, like what? I’ve seen caregiver Shove Food down patients mouths if they are not eating fast enough. I’ve seen a lot happen here and I’m not happy. I will not be taking my family member here.

This place is dirty. My grandma was here and the cups are dirty. They don’t wash their hands and they don’t have any machines to safely lift these patients up. I seen a caregiver struggle with one patient. It’s an inconvenience for the caregivers to wash the patients hands. I’ve seen other places treat their patients better. One girl was shoving food in one woman’s mouth like as if she was bother that she didn’t want to eat. Smh I also seen more than one diaper on my grandma. Is that even supposed to happen?
