This place needs to be shut down 100% the staff/directors here are careless and they neglect their patients mentally & physically!!! My grandfather was a patient here years ago & he suffered from these careless workers of Brinton Woods! He would ask to be changed and they would not.... their attitudes are disgusting and they are rude to their patients. My grandfather asked if there was a bathroom nearby while away from his room & they said no left him in the hallway for the nurse to come get him & when he told her that he already used the bathroom on himself she pushed him to his room shut the curtain and left him in there to sit in it for HOURS ! Do NOT send your loved ones here... im sick to my stomach just finding out about this ... this place is a disgrace

So far I can only give 4 stars because I haven't been able to visit the facility physically because of COVID. My grandfather has been there for a few weeks recovering and receiving rehab for a few different reasons and my family and I could not be happier with how he has been receiving care thus far. The entire staff from the social worker, to the therapists, and his amazing nurse are all very responsive and they give great updates. His nurse, Theresa, makes sure to keep in contact with us as a family and updates us frequently on his condition. She has been such a Godsend. She is sweet and patient with him, and I could not ask for better. This has been an awesome experience, and I could not be happier.

This rehab is terrible! As soon as you walk in the door an unpleasant odor overwhelms you. The care is desperately lacking.. They couldn't take a blood pressure when someone passed out because the machine wouldn't work. Kudos to the physical therapist! They are the only bright light in this place. The staff is RUDE! The patients get llittle to no day to day care.

I recently was a rehab patient at Brinton Woods for 10 days. As a licensed Social Worker who works in a rehab/long term care facility, I am well aware of family expectations in searching for an appropriate facility for their loved ones. The entire staff of Brinton Woods was very attentive and professional. The response time when requesting assistance was wonderful! The nurses and GNA's were caring and proficient in their job. I never noticed any odor in any area of the facility. The rehab team, both PT and OT, were FANTASTIC in their knowledge and ability to translate exercises that helped with my recovery. Kudos to all from nursing, aides, rehab, environmental services, and dietary should be commended for their attention to all details of their profession. IT WAS A PLEASURE and I would recommend this facility to all family, loved ones, and friends.

The staff is incompetent and unqualified! From the administrator, and Director of nursing, to the nurses & CNA's. The turn over in staff is constant which speaks volumes, including the Administrative & Director positions which changed hands twice while my mother was a patient. I had a representative from the department of aging there at least five times in my mothers seven month stay. She went in for rehab which was supposed to be for a short time and had a massive right side stroke which she never recovered from. She was placed on outpatient hospice care and moved to the long-term care unit. When that move was made our lives were changed and it was the most degrading and most disgusting time of my mothers, and our lives. They stripped her of every ounce of dignity she had. During her final months & day's I thank God that she didn't know who she was or where she was. From hygiene care, to keeping her hydrated & fed, they failed daily. I walked in one evening to find a nurse standing there eating my mothers dinner instead of feeding her! My mother hadn't been able to verbalize for herself for weeks even months and for someone to take advantage of that fact and stand in front of her eating a meal intended for her was degrading and disgusting and that man, Philip, still works there! They don't use the proper medical equipment to move patients, they do it, therefore my mothers suffered a fractured hip. If it hadn't been for the diligence of our family constantly visiting and being there for her God knows what the conditions would've been for her. I feel sorry for those patients that don't have family that come at all and pray for everyone of them. This stagg has no clue how to care for a patient when they get to the last stage of life . They were instructed to medicate my mother 15 minutes before moving her and I can't tell you how many times we walked in to find them moving her and then giving her her medication....she would cry out in pain. At this point enough was enough. Being told she may not even survive the ambulance ride we took the chance & had her moved out of there to the Carroll Hospice Dove House in Westminster. They treated her like a queen from the moment we got there as well as our family. It was the most care, love & respect that she received in months. They had a full staff who knew what they were doing and cared. Dove House gave my mom back every ounce of dignity that that nursing home stripped from her. I thanked God the second we left that nursing home for getting us out of there and blessing my mom with the peaceful journey that she so deserved. The administrators, nurses, and CNA's, at Brinton Woods have no clue what they're doing its just a job to them and the way they treat people shows it . Don't put your loved one here you'll regret it and so will they.
