Do NOT send your family member to this the Elmwood Park Location! I have a family member who has been there for over 2 months for rehab and it has been terrible. The first month at the facility they never got them out of bed and only did a hand full of bedside PT maybe 2-3 at most! Not until we started complaining did they finally get them out of bed. Most of the staff does not seem to care about the patients, when you ask for help its like you are bothering them. Family member is in a room with 3 other patients, one day I was there and the patient next to them was getting a cleaning, the aids did not even close the curtain or the door and she was fully naked!! Our family member on several occasion has sat in their soiled undergarment for hours on end! Since they have been there they have gone through 2 case workers, and the 3rd one has not yet even gone to meet them! How can you advocate for a patient when you won't even go meet them. I can go on and on about this location! All I can say is if you care about your family member please do not send them here. I have left several messages at the corporate level but have never gotten a call back! Even the person who answers the phone is very unprofessional! (Owner) your response is a joke when you contact the facility either you get hung up on or you get the run around. I want someone from the Corporate office to contact me.

I am telling you this place is severely short staffed. 3 people for the whole floor. Dinner is one hour and a half late. The only reason why I gave them 2 stars is for the therapy. I’m disappointed

My mom was a resident for a little over 2 months while I tried to find a memory care facility that accepted Medicaid. I was very pleased with the level of care my mom received, even though she was more memory care and not skilled nursing. It was hard for her to feel she was losing her independence being placed on a unit with all levels of dementia where the staff is used to the residents requiring more care. She gave positive notes to me about the staff being fun to pick with and talk to, and the food was pretty good. I always felt she was safe and well cared for by the staff. While I have since moved her to a memory care facility more suited for her level of Alzheimer’s, I was very pleased overall with our experience at Bria.
