Residents here are very friendly. Very positive people. Food is the best in town and I’ve tried a lot after touring 8 places.

I love the staff they go well beyond what they are required to do to keep us well and happy.

My aunt was here for 3 years or so. This place promises all these services, meals etc yet staff is always quitting and they ho threw chefs like no ones business. They also over promise on how much trained nursing staff they have for night time. For the price my aunt had to pay out of pocket and how many things are not available on numerous occasions this place fails. She was paying of 5k and most the food was mediocre she said. One time I went there and the elevator was smelling like smoke. Last time I smelt smoke on an elevator in Germany we got stuck for 2 hrs and since this place houses elderly that would not be good. Asked some residents about it and the said they had complained to staff and maintenence but nothing was fixed. Asked them if they knew where the number was as usually a maintenence number is listed in facilities and they said they did not know. I even looked to see on Walls if it was posted somewhere and I could not find it. It was the weekend too and staff had went home for the day. This was not the 1st time their was an elevator issue either so I called the main Bonaventure number and left a voicemail. Couple days later I finally got a phone call from upper management. They said they would have it fixed. Also mentioned this was not the 1st time I said something and mentioned the residents said they were ignored too about it. Told the lady that is dangerous and with how much these folks pay the services and maintenence should be better. They did end up fixing it but paying this much you should not have to keep saying something. Positives is they do have some friendly staff, fun events, dancing and other classes they provide. They also have trick or treating where kids can come and knock on doors. The people living their love seeing kids and are very friendly. Walls are not very sound proof though so the sound of kids transfers from one unit to the next if you have kids like mine. They do have some esalking trails near by and are near the college. Facility is clean. Overall it's a ok option for the area however they really need to provide what they promise on their pamphlet as it is false advertising and not gaslight residents and their families. Also a non stop turn over rate lowers the quality of the whole vibe. What my aunt got for the price was not up to par with what it should of been at all. I personally would not stick my relative here til they fix the staffing shortages and turn over rate and provide the services they promise. They also need more checks and balances at this place. Some of their failures could put your loved ones at risk. They also need to correct the attitude of some of the workers. One staff member got mad at my aunt for accidently pulling the help cord for emergencies. I get she was out of breath but you should not be having an attitude with the people who live here especially the elderly. I was there that time but my aunt said it had happened before and other residents said some staff has had same attitudes before or worse ones. Check on your loved ones even if you think it is a nice facility because with the turn over rate not all the staff is friendly to your family.

The food has improved greatly in the last couple of months. My mom is fortunate to have the same house cleaner, grounds man director, and several other staple employees here and we look forward to all the positive changes that are continuing to happen here.

This establishment has increasingly gone downhill in the recent times. The turn over rate, the rate of people willing leaving, the care, the ambition of employees has literally reached a rock bottom. I recommend never stepping foot into this shady business. Please keep your loved ones safe and re-think your assisted living choices. The eagle is still burning🔥
