My sister, Cheryl Euler lived at Bickford for 8 1/2 years. She needed a place where they could manage her medications and check in on her if she had a medical problem. She had broken her ankle and after 3 months of rehab she went home and 3 days later she fell and broke her wrist. Her Dr said she could no longer live by herself. Bickford was a blessing as she could have some independence and yet have the help that was needed. Cheryl developed several medical conditions and the staff was here to help her. They were very good at communicating with me when there was a problem. Through the years I made several friendships with the staff. They were special gems! There are many activities the residents can participate in. There is also chapel services they can attend. Mel is a wonderful director and she cares for her staff and wants them to reflect a caring facility. It helps if you take time to talk to other residents and show an interest in their lives. I love the staff and they are my second family. My sister is happy that she is home with her Lord and Savior but this was her home before that. My car just automatically drives its way to Bickford! Yes, I would recommend Bickford!
