The owner Carrie is literally an angel. When I reached out to Carrie, our family was in a really dark place and she did everything in her power to help get my father the care he desperately needed. She helped me navigate the complex process of getting coverage to help pay for his care and was an amazing listening ear in our times of struggle. The staff there has been great about balancing care for my dad, who is on the younger side of their population, with also being supportive in his independence. They do so well with the limited resources that they have to work with. I truly believe my dad would not be with us today if it was not for Bayou Gardens staff. Thank you for all that you do.

This place is a joke. Can’t ever get anyone to answer the phone. Takes DAYS for residents to receive the voicemails the answering machine forces you to leave. If you send anything to a resident in the mail, send a prayer too. Likely they’ll never receive that either.

Words cannot properly express my gratitude to Bayou Gardens Dunedin for their care of my first cousin (I am also her Medical Power of Attorney). The first thing you will want to know about BG is that, for the director, managing this facility is a matter of the heart. They go the extra mile. Bayou Gardens Dunedin provides a limited number of Medicaid beds and my cousin is a Medicaid recipient, and was very, very fortunate to be given one. She was not paying the full price, but she did not get less attention. Just the opposite. The facility is very nice. One thing I loved about this place is that (before COVID), the residents went on an outing once a month. It might have been to a movie and the food court, or to the beach, or who knows! Also, depending on what your insurance is, they have access to great doctors. There were several occasions when my cousin needed a short stay in the hospital for one medical issue or another. Over these times, more than one hospital social worker told me how fortunate my cousin was to be in a BG facility. They were telling me something I already knew. Thank you, Bayou Gardens Dunedin!
