I can’t say enough about the care my mother received at home and the seamless move to a nursing home and continued care at the nursing home from the BAYADA hospice team. The nurses and aids (Jackie and Courtney), social workers (Matthew and Kristen) and spiritual support (Jen and Father Mike) were amazing. They were skilled, compassionate and caring to both my mother and the family. I highly recommend Colchester VT BAYADA hospice services. They were a blessing to our family.

I can't thank you all enough! Unfortunately this was our 2nd time to need Hospice Care in less than 2 years. We knew we could not go with another service after the help you provided in May of 2023 for our Mom. This go around was Dad. It was fast, but you were on board immediately. The folks you have on your Colchester team are the best of the best! Tracie, Fred, Dennis, Courtney, Sadie & Bridget (sorry if we missed anyone) thank you all!!!

My brother was on Bayada Hospice service for a short period of time. During the short time he was receiving care, the hospice nursing, and social workers showed my brother compassion and top notch care. They were very clear with what they can provide for service and made his end of life a little bit more manageable for our family. I highly recommend Bayada Hospice for your loved one’s end of life care. Galen Hanna

What my expectations were and what we got were two different worlds. When my mother decided not to do dialysis we immediately went to hospice to set up a relationship with a nurse so at the end she would have someone familiar around. We were expecting a different end of life experience. My mother suddenly has a massive hemorrhagic stroke and it was completely unexpected. And we thought thank god we have hospice set up. Well what a joke. Apparently BAYADA’s idea of hospice is stopping by for 20 minutes in the morning. And then leaving. Leaving us to fend for ourselves. Not even a phone call to say hey. How’s it going. Is everything okay? I am here, what can I do. How is the family? Are you sleeping? Eating? Nothing. Not a damn thing. I can tell you that it is too Much responsibility for a family. And please let me tell you that I am a registered nurse. I questioned myself. Was I doing it right. Was my mother suffering. Was I giving her to much morphine? Not enough? Since my mothers death I have questioned myself everyday. NO ONE SHOULD HAVE TO DO THAT!! The morning my mother passed away I called to have somone come. The call service was so rude. Then when the nurse came we asked to have social worker come. Nope. Never came. When she left that morning that was the last contact we had with BAYADA. No phone call. No follow up. No contact what so ever. Not until I called and told them what I thought of their services. Then we got a phone call. Too late. I plan on letting everyone I know about this place. Please don’t let them be a part of your life at the end of your loved ones life. It’s not supposed to be like that. It should not be your responsibility. You need support. And guidance. Please look elsewhere.
