The entire staff members are very polite and respectful. Each and every one have gone out of their way to give a simple hello/how are you doing. You don't hear that in many other places.

Mother-in-law is a new admit to Bay Breeze. The staff has been very helpful. Adriane has been great and has helped us and MIL in the adjustment period.

If you want to check in about your loved one, forget about it. They NEVER answer the phone. It just rings and rings and rings, and then automatically disconnects! And be prepared, -it will happen 10x's in a row, too! If your loved one is sent to the hospital, they probably won't call and tell you. You'll only find out later when the hospital calls you. If your loved one is incontinent (*either #1 or #1 & #2 ) they will only get checked and changed 1x per 8-9 hours. Your loved one *will* lay in their own mess all day as they ignore the call button, and when your loved one reaches out to family and can't understand why they're being treated this way, then you'll REALLY be angry and upset! The food is atrocious and it's inconceivable that they feed people the cheapest of the cheap BAD food. Our loved one has gotten sick to their stomach several times from the food. This is NOT OK. The manager Brooke is very young and inexperienced, and most DEFINITELY, should NOT be managing a facility for seniors! Even after numerous complaints to management, nothing changes. The culture there is UNDERSTAFFED, so their response to staff is basically, "do what you can, and forget about the rest". And lastly, -the food. It's DISGUSTING and I wouldn't even serve it to my enemy., and I doubt even the staff would eat it too. But what do they care.... they're not the one bound to a bed for the last months of their lives! This place is SHAMEFUL, and the manager should be fired for accepting this exceptionally POOR work culture there for so long!!! If a nursing home cannot meet the needs of the large number of patients, they need to be stopped from doing so!! This is a HUMAN VIOLATION!! I'm sure they wouldn't treat their own family this way!

The staff were nice, but it smelled of urine. People with dementia would walk in mom’s room look through her belongings. I called there and spoke to the case manager who knew nothing of her physical status, she only knew of her financial status. Mom came home weaker than before she broke her hip. Once I found mom without her call light within reach. Mom said she was afraid to ask for help because aides were crabby that day. One aide that stood out as being amazing is Sunny Gilmore. If it wasn’t for Sunny, I would give them 1 star.

I’ve had a great experience with Bay Breeze Health and Rehab. The administrator, Brooke, is very professional and treats both staff and residents with respect and kindness. The facility is always clean whenever I visit, and the staff consistently greet me with a smile. It’s clear they take pride in the environment and the care they provide. Highly recommend — a well-deserved five stars!
