Before we found AvidCare, my loved one (LO) with Alzheimer’s Disease had stayed briefly in two different larger memory care facilities. She was unhappy and even managed to escape from both! We then received a recommendation from the Fairfax County Ombudsman for AvidCare and decided to give it a shot. Best decision ever!!! We couldn’t be happier with the level of personalized care (and patience!) that Jeffery and his staff at AvidCare have provided for my LO. She has a big beautiful room with her own bathroom, and the AvidCare team continues to proactively respond to her changing needs. Whenever we visit, we can see that she is content and in good spirits. AvidCare also offers home cooked meals and plenty of activities, and the home-based setting allows them to tailor the activities to the residents’ needs (like Scrabble for my LO). Again, I’ve been extremely pleased with AvidCare and recommend them for your loved ones as wel!

We used AvidCare for a 10 day respite care for my husband while I was overseas. The facility is great and the staff very professional. They did everything they could to make him comfortable and at home while I was gone, and it made things much less stressful for me knowing he was getting good care.

I recently saw a friend with Alzheimer's at the Annandale Healthcare Center and was so appalled at the state of his room and the care he received that I instantly notified his family to give them some other options, one of which was AvidCare. I had corresponded with the owner if AvidCare when he worked at another company and when I heard he had his own business, this was my first choice. The facility is extremely clean, but what stands out is the care the staff gives to each patient. My friend was transferred to AvidCare and I was struck by how happy he looked. They had taken him to the barbershop and he looked so much better than when we visited him at Annandale. When our friend was at Annandale he remarked that this was in hell and he had to get out. He has made no such remarks at AvidCare. If you have a loved one that needs to be in Assisted Living, I highly recommend AvidCare.

It’s been a wonderful place for my 96 year old mother. She came to AVID from a nursing home and was in poor health. After a short time at Avid she is thriving. The staff is amazing. Very grateful that I discovered AVID Assisted Living.
