Avalon is the best facility that I ever been to. The atmosphere of the place is bright and welcoming. They have a nice courtyard that you can walk outside. Jamie, Eh, Myra, Brook, Diana, and Merrill are some of my morning CNA's who take care of me. They go above and beyond the call of duty when they do my care. They are always fun to talk to and listen when I have a question or concern. They also help me out when I get back from dialysis. Jennifer, Princess, Max, Amanda, Glenda, Gerrie, Mazie and Flossy are some of the evening CNA's that take care of me in the afternoon. They too go above and beyond the call of duty. Both morning and evening shifts make sure I am cleaned up, provide me with ice and bring me my meals. They are always helpful, even when they are very busy. They just keep going. For noc shift CNA's, Austin, Shanice, Lucci, Blanca, Flossy, Yugie, Janica, and Nana are very wonderful. Not only do they provide what the morning and CNA's do, they help me get ready for dialysis. They do such a great job for the extra steps they have to do to get me ready. For the Nurses, Lori, Amy, Gloria, Christine, and Sharon, they make sure that I get my medications and provide any wound care if needed. I can always go to them if I have a question. For the Med-Aids, Tina, Nuellia, and Yugie for making sure that I get my medications. Robert, Social Services, who I can go to talk of I have a problem. Sara, Business Manager, who helps me with payments and any other questions that I may have. Annette, Human Resources, who makes sure we hire the right people and makes sure the schedule has enough employees per shift. Danille, Avtivities Director, who make sure we have a variety of activities, music performers, coloring packages, and some type of BBQ's. Shanell and Tina, RCM's, for informing me of any changes to my medications and update vaccines. Danielle and Amada, Administrator and DNS, for being so wonderful to me when I first came here. They have helped me a lot. I can always go to them to say hi or if I have a problem. Brennen, Kitchen Manager, for making sure we have a variety of food and if you have a problem about your meals, he will be glad to talk to you and help you out. Greg, Maintenance, who will fix anything and always making sure that you room is in great shape. For Housekeeping/Laundry, for cleaning the rooms and taking care of my laundry in a timely manner. That is why all of these people should be recognized. They are wonderful, caring, compassionate, and when thing get tough, the never give up. They just keep going. That is why I am giving Avalon Portland 5 Stars.

My experience here at Avalon Portland has been heartfelt,my mother was reluctant to be admitted to a rehabilitation center but the staff giving her care from the administration to the c.n.a’s has been a great experience for my mother and my self,from the one on on one help with the admission to the kind heart of her c.n.a’s Jamie,Esme,and others that play a part in her day that makes her feels welcome.

Sometimes all it takes is someone noticing the smallest details to make a profound difference in a person’s quality of life.<br>Thank you Danielle you are truly sincere.<br><br>Most importantly, if anyone ever deserved credit for going above and beyond, it would be Jeremy (aka Jamie 😊). Even when you’re clearly physically exhausted and your shift is over, you still put the people you care for first.<br><br>This isn’t just a care facility, it’s a family—and it shows.<br>The past few days have been emotionally chaotic, but what I witnessed yesterday made me realize everything is going to be okay.<br><br>THATS PRICELESS AND I IMAGINE THATS WHAT MAKES AVALON HOME. :)

My father spent almost a year (2024) at Avalon. The staff were absolutely great. The facility is always neat and clean. The atmosphere is professional , cheerful and positive. The Medical Director, the CNAs were always on top if his caring needs. Some went above and beyond in really working with dad to understand his personality and his needs and find ways to help him . I cannot say enough good things about the facility Director Danielle and her team. God bless them all for caring for my father. I wwish them all the success in their efforts.
